Family and Community Wellness
Greeting, Our school year has started with the gift of many new and familiar families at-tending Bashaw School. Our school has had its first cross country invitational meet with 700 elementary, junior and senior high students participating. A huge success! There are many wonderful programs started up like the school wide Rebel Reading program and other rebel activities that create an impact on the entire school population. We have two Roots Of Empathy pro-grams running. The grade ones have ba-by Evangeline Benoit, daughter of Holly and Morgan Benoit as their little teacher. The grade three students have Maverick Hunker, son of Dakota and Bobby Hunk-er as their little teacher. Both babies and mothers were introduced to the classes last week and made a big impression on the students. They asked some very im-portant wonder questions and discovery involving both babies Our school drama programs are just about to begin auditions for their shows. Senior drama students will be perform-ing Frozen in the spring of 2020. The junior drama students will be performing High School Musical Jr. We have stu-dents signed up to teach choreography and learn the technical aspect of running a show along with many talented per-formers. Both shows are family friendly and full of incredible music. Dates have already been selected for both shows in May. Keep the first and forth weekends in May open on your calendar to take in these performances! Lori Miller Wellness Coordinator BDSS
