The year 1993 saw the opening of management education system in the country with the decision of Gujarat University to meet the burgeoning demand for young managers by allowing K.S. School of Business Management and Research, first of its own kind in India, offering ‘Five years integrated MBA programme’ to be set up. Initially, it started of as a three-year BBA programme, which was subsequently converted into a five-year integrated MBA programme. This course provides an avenue for enhancement and improvement of the traditionally efficient Gujarati talent through formal learning in the various aspects of business management. It is the endeavor of the school through this integrated Five-year MBA programme, to equip the students to meet the needs of the community and the country.

The Programme:

The Five year Integrated MBA Programme combines both under-graduate and post-graduate courses of Business Management. On successful completion of the programme, the students are awarded the MBA degree by the Gujarat University. An innovative feature of this programme is that the students enrolling for it can also simultaneously pursue a Diploma Course in Computer Applications (DCA) which provides skills in computer programming and other computer applications

The MBA programme of the school is well received by the market and many universities have replicated similar programme. Prof. Narhari Parikh, the founder-director of the school, nurtured and developed the programme well to its present level. Under able leadership and guidance of Prof. A .U. Patel, ex vice- chancellor of Gujarat University, the school has added to its infrastructure and a number of young and talented faculty members have joined the school. Dr. Parimal Trivedi, vice-chancellor is also taking keen interest in the activities of the school.
