M1 Merit Task - Advantages and Disadvantages of installation or upgrade of new software
The Partners now want to two look at two specific scenarios for upgrading and installing software. In a report they would like you to explain the advantages and disadvantages of upgrading and installing the following software:
They are thinking about updating Microsoft Office from 2007 to 2013. They would like you to give all the advantages and disadvantages for carrying out this upgrade.
They would also like you to install the integrated AVG Anti -virus and Internet Security to replace the Avast free anti -virus program currently installed. They again would like you to give all the advantages and disadvantages of installing this software (M1)
M1 Task
Use the Internet to investigate the advantages of each upgrade and complete Merit Worksheet.
Then once you have all information required put it into a business report
Distinction
The partners want to make a decision to go ahead with the upgrade of Office 2010 to 2013 as well as the installation of AVG anti- virus security suite.
They have looked at the advantages and disadvantages for this and now want you to justify both the installation and upgrade by building a business case for both by balancing the cost against the perceived benefits (D1)
