Advances in Materials Manufacturing
The symposium will focus on the latest advances in manufacturing and processing of the traditional and advanced materials. The scope includes (but is not limited to) additive manufacturing, welding and joining (laser welding, hybrid laser-arc welding, electron beam, friction stir welding, linear friction, soldering, brazing, diffusion bonding, adhesive bonding, etc.), laser and laser-assisted materials processing, powder metallurgy, injection molding, spark plasma sintering, forming, hot isostatic pressing, semi-solid casting, and other advanced materials manufacturing and processing technologies.

IMPORTANT DATESDeadline for submission of abstracts: February 28, 2014
Notification of acceptance or regret: March 15 to April 1, 2014
Deadline for submitting camera-ready papers for final editing: May 1, 2014
Author registration: June 1, 2014
Call for abstracts
The Advances in Materials Manufacturing Symposium will be a unique opportunity to update participants on new technological, scientific, economic and strategic trends in the industry and academia. Among the numerous conference attendees, there will be industry executives, representatives of universities and research institutes, students, design engineers, plant operators, policy makers, as well as metallurgical, materials, environmental and health experts from all over the world!
Proceedings of peer-reviewed papers will follow the symposium. Selected manuscripts will be recommended for possible publication in Metallurgical and Materials Transactions B - Process Metallurgy and Materials Processing Science.
