Preparing the Domino Games

To Prepare Each Game

Print the Domino Cards and Instruction Cards for the game and cut into separate cards. These can be laminated to make them more durable if you choose. Store the cards for the games in a plastic bag or envelope. On each card for each game, there is a small graphic to help you identify which set a card belongs to if it is separated from the set.

Contractions Dominoes a game for 2 - 4 players

Place the dominoes face down. Each player takes 4 dominoes. The first player lays a domino in the center. The next player tries to join onto this domino by matching a contraction to its meaning. e.g. don’t – do not. If a player can’t make a join, they pick up a domino. Players continue to join a domino or pick up a domino. When there are no more dominoes to pick up a player misses a turn if they can’t put one down. The first player to use all of their dominoes is the winner. Please Note: Dominoes can be placed vertically or horizontally when joining to another domino but cannot be placed over another domino.
