You MUST answer the following 4 questions and that is how you should structure your DVD Commentary.

In what ways does your media product use, develop or

challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

INDIVIDUAL

• Film Poster & Film Magazine Front Cover

• Show each final product

• Show examples of real media products – influences, current trends, case studies

• Specifically detail how you conform or subvert conventions

You can film each other talking about your individual products and even make comments on each other’s fabulous work!

• Trailer - link to your trailer • Real examples – link to real trailers • Genre conventions ( remember the sheet

from start of year)• How your product conforms to

conventions- actually identify the conventions you use of trailers as well as conventions of the film genre (look at repertoire of elements)

Question 2 - Individual

• How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

• Promotional package – how effective is it all together?

• What was YOUR USP?

• Remember to look at how distributors market to different audiences through different posters/mag content etc…

• You could include a real example of a film package doing this in the real media

• Each individual in your group must respond to this question

• What have you learned from your audience feedback?• This can be presented as a group. • Identify who your target audience is• Include the images of your audience mood boards and

your brainstorm audience session• Analyse your questionnaire and analysis – include snap

shots of pie charts etc as you are discussing• Include new quotes of audience feedback from seeing

your trailer – this could be filmed as well.

You must do a good job with this if you hope to reach the A/B grades
