Dear Advanced Piano student,

In July, I like to send out lists of who is attending each course, together with their proposed repertoire. Thus other students can bring their own copies of scores to use during classes. Therefore I’d be grateful if you could fill in the form (on next page) and return it to me at the above address by 30 June.

Philip and Philip have finalised the set pieces for this year's course.The pieces are not obligatory, and are not intended for public performance at the Summer School concerts, they are simply intended to provide pieces that students can all work on together if you choose to do so. Bach Partita no 1, any movementBeethoven Bagatelles, Opus 119 nos 1 &/or 6Chopin Mazurka, Op 17 no 4Copland  4 Piano Blues,  partic 1, 2, 4Bartok  Rumanian Dances

If you choose any of the pieces, please include them in the list.

It doesn’t matter if you subsequently change your mind, leave pieces out or add others. This is just to give your fellow students a rough idea of what you may be bringing (if you choose to send me the information by email, please can you keep to the same layout or order).

Please remember that performance time is normally limited to 10 minutes in any one student recital but that longer pieces may be accommodated in special late night recital slots. It may be helpful to indicate the time needed by any piece that falls in this category.
