Leading and Managing Change The role of the Senior Manager is a challenging one. Tasked with steering their organisations and people operationally, they need to navigate this in a sea of internal and external change to meet the demands of the competitive marketplace. To create an agile operation – both technically and people oriented - Senior Managers need to be able to seamlessly factor in constant change as they set business direction, build innovation, create and lead effective teams, manage operational and people performance, and build continuous improvement and risk management process and practices into their business units. The Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management provides an opportunity to build effective change management practice into everyday operational practice. Participants select a change issue they are currently facing and use the learning and development experience to create, lead and manage the change within their organisations with the support of our professional facilitators. This incorporates: The Learning Experience A series of workshops focussing on key change leadership and management competencies, with the opportunity to apply this to a case study change project to experiment with causes, interventions and consequences. Mentoring Group and one on one coaching on participants’ own specific organisational change projects, assisting the application of principles and practices from the Learning Experience straight back to the workplace. Resources and Support Contemporary change management theory and research will be available to participants as they work through the case study and their own organisational change projects. Our facilitators are currently qualified and practicing change management specialists who will also provide the mentoring and support required as participants integrate the learning on the job. This learning and assessment strategy provides an immediate return on investment to both participant and their organisation. SG Virtual Learning Centre Our Virtual Learning Centre offers participants and their workplace sponsor/executive manager an online coaching facility throughout the course. Extra learning resources, discussion forums and the ability for others in the organisation to remain connected with progress means program outcomes are maximised on the job, which ultimately provides a better return on investment for both the participant and their organisation.

Advanced Diploma of Leadership & Management BSB61015 Course Requirements Successful completion of 12 units is required - 4 core units and 8 elective units. Delivery & Assessment Strategy We combine group training, individual coaching, and online options in our delivery and assessment approach so qualifications can be gained to suit the workflow of the organisation, and the work/life balance of participants. Our VLC enables participants, managers and dedicated and qualified coaches to be in daily contact for a co-ordinated approach to solving problems on the job. Group Training (minimum of 5 participants) Candidates attend up to 12 x 1 day workshops (dependent on numbers and experience of participants) that are highly interactive and include group activities, individual exercises and practical discussions. Coaching We offer coaching programs for individuals or small groups (1-4 participants). The time involved and course structure will be customised to suit the group/individual. Time Frame The course usually takes 12-24 months to complete while working full time. The schedule can be adapted to suit individuals depending on previous experience, the amount of time the participant has to achieve required competencies, and taking into consideration work/life balance and organisational priorities. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) We offer RPL to experienced candidates and provide a comprehensive package that their RPL coach will use to guide them through the RPL process Assessment Our focus is the application and integration of competencies on the job, so that our participants have the opportunity to practice key skills with the guidance of their coach and in collaboration with their workplace sponsor/manager. Assessments are practical and include group/written exercises and discussions, self-assessments, workplace research, reviews, activities and work projects.
