    Setup Wizard

The Setup Wizard is a useful and easy utility to help setup the router quickly and connect to ISP with only a few steps required. It will guide you step by step to configure the password, time zone, and WAN settings of the router.

The Setup Wizard is a helpful guide for first time users.

    WAN Settings

WAN Settings are settings that are used to connect to your ISP. These settings may be referred to as Public settings. These settings are provided by BB service provider

PVC - Permanent Virtual Circuit VPI - Virtual Path Identifier VCI- Virtual Circuit Identifier

  • CETTM MTNL

    15ADSL ROUTER

    WAN Settings :VPI and VCI

Virtual Path Identifier refers to an 8-bit (user to network packets) field within the header of an Asynchronous Transfer Mode cell

A Virtual Circuit Identifier (VCI) is a unique identifier which indicates a particular virtual circuit on a network. It is a 16-bit field in the header of an ATM cell

    WAN SettingsPPPoE/PPPoA

Select this option for PPPoA/PPPoE connection. This is the most preferred setting for the internet access for volume based plans. Enter the required information accordingly.

Username and password is stored on the ADSL router.

Bridge Mode Bridges mode can be used for the time based plans

and connecting server on the internet. It creates a dial-up connection for internet access.

Username and password is stored on the PC.

    LAN Settings

These are the IP settings of the LAN interface to PC.

These settings may be referred to as Private settings.

You may change the LAN IP address if needed. The LAN IP address is private to internal network

and cannot be seen on the Internet. The default IP address is 192.168.1.1 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0.

    21ADSL ROUTER

    DHCP Server

Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP) server gives out IP addresses when a device is booting up and request an IP address to be logged on to the network

Starting IP address Ending IP address Client Table

    23ADSL ROUTER

    Virtual Server

The DSL Router can be configured as a virtual server so that remote users accessing Web or FTP services via the public IP address can be automatically redirected to local servers in the LAN network Depending on the requested service (TCP/UDP port number), the DSL router redirects the external service request to the appropriate server within the LAN network

    Rule Name Private IP Protocol
