problem-solving skills. Portions integrated in the admission

process also examine the applicant’s belief and value system

on the basis of which he/she makes decisions and the way he/

she handles and negotiates with the external world. Thus, our

method of testing a student has been designed in such a way

so that we can look at him / her holistically.

DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL RAJNAGAR GHAZIABADUnder the aegis of The Delhi Public School Society, East of Kailash, New DelhiAff i l i ated to Centra l Board of Secondary Educat ion , New De lh i

Why should I entrust my child to DPS Rajnagar ?

DPS Rajnagar offers world class facilities to students, their

parents and the team members. All the class rooms in the

school are technology enabled classrooms with Tech boards

installed in them. We follow the thematic study pattern to

make the students learn through activities rather than rote

learning. We maintain a very low student teacher ratio to

attain a personal attention to each student.

DPS Rajnagar is part of the world renowned The Delhi Public

School Society, East of Kailash, New Delhi which runs more

than 200 schools in India and abroad. It has a proven track

record ever since the inception of its first school in 1949.

What are the facilities offered at DPS RAJNAGAR?

DPS Rajnagar understands the need of one stop solution for

all routine requirements of a school going child and that the

modern day parents are busy-hence the school provides

for most of the routine requirements of a child in the school.

(Please refer to the Admission Information attached)

What is the role of the School Counsellor?

The school counsellor is a specialist in child psychology and

plays an important role in the overall development of children

who need additional attention/care. The counsellor identifies

such children and helps the teachers and parents to deal

with these children effectively. You can take the counsellor’s

help in case you find changes in the attitudinal/behavioral

pattern of your child. The counsellor can be of help in cases

of hyperactive children, children with temporarily changed

behaviour pattern due to bereavement/illness in the family or

due to some external factor(s) etc.

What measures does the school take to make the students

fluent in English?

Efforts are made at all times to ensure that all students start

speaking in English as early as possible. At DPS RAJNAGAR

we recognize the socio-cultural background of our students

and that is the reason why spoken English classes form a part

of the routine Time Table and the School Assembly. To improve

communication skills students are given every opportunity to

present passages, poems, scriptures, extempore speeches,

quizzes, etc in English.

However, we seek active participation of the parents in this

regard. We suggest that they should speak in English at home

and encourage their wards to speak in English too. The child

should be provided with age appropriate English books,

newspapers and magazines.

All students are given an English newspaper or periodical daily.

This fosters good reading habit and propagates awareness

building skills.

What arrangements have been made for students who want

to excel or who require additional attention and support in

academics?

The school undertakes to provide enrichment classes, without

any additional fee to train and educate students appearing

for National Olympiads, National Talent Search Examination

(NTSE). Remedial Classes by school staff is available for

students requiring extra help in academics.

What are the transport arrangements for students?

The school provides air conditioned Global Positioning

System (GPS) enabled CNG buses for all students to ensure

pollution free and safe commuting. It is a facility provided for

the parents to relieve them of daily stress. A toll free number

(18001030777) is available for all parents to track the school

bus at all times.

Will the school bus pick up my ward from my house gate as

other school buses pass from here ?

No, the school bus will only stop at the designated stop

points as mentioned in the prospectus. Operation of buses of other schools does not automatically mean that our bus will also operate on said route / stop points.

There is no stop point near my house/ my area is not being

serviced as per your transport stop point list. What do I do?

The school will try to create a stop point on receiving a

request. However, please note that

• No change in location of stop point is possible

• Additional stop points or routes will be at sole jurisdiction

of school

• School reserves the right to alter stop point locations due to

operational problem.

How will I come to know the pickup and ‘drop time’ of my

ward’s stop point and bus route number?

The student Identity card will have the information about pick

up and drop timings and bus route number. This Identity card

along with Parent Identity card will be handed over to you on

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

What is Parent Partnership Programme?

We at DPS Rajnagar firmly believe that we are a family, with

parents being an integral part of it. In order to ensure and

establish a rapport with the parent community it is very

important to share the vision and mission of DPS Rajnagar.

The purpose of Parent Partnership Programme is two fold:

environment, staff, school rules and systems

To,

The Transport Manager

Delhi Public School Rajnagar

Dear Sir,

We, seek school bus facility for our ward _____________________________________________________________________________and

wish to have _________________________________________as his/her Bus Stop Point. We assure the school that we have understood the

stop point location physically. We confirm that we will not seek any change in stop point location till we are living at our residential address as

given by us in our registration form. The bus stop point mentioned above is the nearest and most convenient one and we are satisfied with it.

We fully understand and are willing to abide by and agree to the following:-

1. We understand that school bus is a facility which is being provided by the school and is managed by the school in order to provide hassle- free commuting and that it is not a matter of right.

2. We agree to abide by the school transport rules and assure that the transport staff will never be the direct targets of our anger or rude behaviour or of our representative.

3. We fully understand that on- time operation of school transport is top priority for all stake holders but the school cannot be held responsible for the bus being late due to traffic situation on the road.

4. We fully understand that stop point timings are based on ideal traffic situation and any abnormal traffic situation will have its adverse effect on the stop point timing.

5. We agree that if RWA or the government authority asks the school not to pass its bus through a specific road then our stop point and timing may change during mid-year also.

6. We agree that school reserves its right to stop service on any route and point due to external factors which are beyond the school’s control.

7. We understand that the school has provided one extra bus as a backup in case of breakdown of any vehicle. We fully understand that in case of a breakdown, alternate arrangement may take some time and we agree to cooperate with the school in such a situation.

8. We agree that the school may not be able to serve some stop points due to water logging, road repair or construction, road blockade due to religious/personal/social ceremony at some time.

9. We agree to pay the Transport Commitment Fee (at the rate prevalent at that time), if we seek again to avail of transport facility after our withdrawal from the school transport.

10. We understand the school may/will not be in a position to comply with my request for a change of bus route or stop point during the ongoing session or in the sessions to come. For, we understand that the availability of seat in a different bus on a different route requested for us is one of the determinants.

11. We understand the school reserves the right to withdraw the bus facility to my ward at any time during his/her academic studies with the school for lack of discipline and decency and decorum in the bus on the part of my ward or any reason due to which the school decides that it is not possible to run school transport along the earlier allocated route or the specific bus stop point of my ward.

12. We understand that school may not allow my ward to use school transport in case of any kind of school fee default by us.

(Please tick the appropriate box below)

We or our representative will pick our ward at the stop point after dispersal ourselves by showing the Parents’ I. Card.

We request school to allow our child to get off the bus and come home without any escort. Once the child gets off the bus, the school’s responsibility ends and we will not blame or hold the school responsible for anything after the child gets off the bus.

We assure the school of our co-operation and understanding at all times during our association with the school.
