Natural-Gas-Fueled Engine for oil well pumping service KNG 1600E/3200E & 6200E

Single-level speed lets you adjust the power output quickly and easily. The pumping volume can be regulated and the pull can be adjusted to the well and oil conditions. Diadema’s experience in developing and building innovative diesel engines was applied to this natural-gas -fueled engine to improve the power source for oil wells. The Engines speed range can be set to between 300 and 1100 rpm, with a maximum output of 16, 32 & 62 HP. No other pump jack engine offers the flexibility of this KNG 1600E, KNG 3200E & KNG 6200E. And there are more advantages.

Self-contained electric started

No more hand cranking No other oil-well pump engine starts with a push of the button. The KNG 1600E,

3200E & 6200E does. Starter motor is standard equipment. Just hook up to a 12V

battery and switch on. With the KNG 1600E, 3200E & 6200E, a jump wire from a

car or truck will do it. Once the engine is running the battery is not necessary since

the Electronic Solid State Ignition System supplies electric for spark.

Automatic gas supply adjustment

No manual carburetor setting is necessary

The famed IMPCO carburetor is fitted to the KNG 1600E, 3200E & 6200E. The

carburetor diaphragm reacts automatically according to engine speed. When engine

is not in operation, gas supply to the suction port is cut off. The diaphragm opens

automatically when the engine is cranked, with no manual adjustments. Just set the

desired operating speed with the single speed- control level and the carburetor feeds

in the properly measured amount of fuel automatically.

DIADEMATRONIC Ignition system

Stable spark, even at low speed Electronic spark system provides stable spark at all operating speeds, even when the

engine is throttled down to its slowest speed. DIADEMATRONIC ignition system

also helps this engine attain its quick, easy starts, and gives you better protection

against weather. DIADEMATRONIC ignition system also is less prone to

malfunction.

Fast cold-weather starting

In cold weather, the KNG 1600E, 3200E & 6200E system is especially

advantageous, with quick starts at temperatures as low as -25°C (-13°F). For colder

regions, an optional 24V started is available which provides positive starting at

temperatures down to -30°C (-22°F).

Single-level throttling

The tremendous flexibility of the KNG3200E lets you adjust speeds from 300 to

1100 rpm. Match the power output to the well conditions and the maximum 32HP

gives you a big pull for deep wells. You can raise the power output for highly

viscous oil, and throttle down for shallow wells with lighter oil. With the

KNG3200E, there is no need to match the engine model to well conditions. You just

adjust, it's as simple as changing the speeds on a outboard motor, with single-level

speed adjustment.

A rugged diesel heritage

Design durability applied to natural-gas engine

A compression ratio of 20:1 in a high power-output diesel calls for extreme

reliability and durability. Diadema's stringent diesel design standards were applied to

the KNG’s engines line. The compression ratio of 8:1 leaves more than wide margin

between what the basic designs is intended for and the own demands placed upon

the engine in actual use on oil wells. The crankshaft, cylinder liner and connecting

rod are all diesel engine parts. The piston is cast aluminum. Exhaust and inlet valves

and valve seats are faced with stellite alloy at points of contact, with exceptional

resistance to heat and wear. Each part is high quality, high durability, evolved from

Diadema’s experience and originality in diesel design and manufacture.

High efficiency lubrication system

Contributes to durability and design innovation

A trochoid pump provides full pressure lubrication to rotating shafts and moving

parts. Efficient lubrication reduces friction and adds to durability and engine life.

Multiple -layer bushings

High wear resistance and structural strength The crankshaft, camshaft, rocker arm and rotating parts are supported by multiple-

layer bushing. Oil grooves on the inner faces of the bushings maintain an oil film on

contact surfaces between shaft and bushing. Rotational friction is eliminated. This

method is most suitable to low speed, high load engines. The bushing requires a

smaller opening in the casing than roller bearings, adding to structural rigidity of the

engine.

Clean and economical

The crankshaft is provided with

an originally developed double

construction oil seal. There is no

oil leakage, contributing to cleanliness

and safety on the site. There is

no appreciable drop in oil level

during extended

operation,

requirements.

Fast parts availability

Less down time Main service parts are available from either Distribution or Dealers network around

all the world or Diadema, with high inter-changeability. Parts are quickly procurable

Analysis of applicable natural gas fuels • The natural gases which give quantity of

heat from 850 to 1400 BTU / ft3

are applicable for

operation by adjusting with the mixture control

valve fitted to the carburetor. (However, for the

range of 1000 to 1200 BTU / ft3

operation is

possible without adjusting the carburetor .)

• In the case when natural gases other than

those specified above are used, operation becomes

possible by changing the setting (metering spring,

orifice, etc.) as stated below. (As to set ting change

consult the distributor.)

Less than 850 BTU/ft3

Change the setting so as to increase fuel supply.

(Widen the orifice or reduce the spring force.)

More then 1400 BTU/ft3

Change the setting so as to reduce fuel supply.

(Throttle the orifice or increase the spring force.)

• Pressure of natural gas supplied to the

carburetor should be kept lower than 3 ounces (5

inches Aq) (for gases giving quantity of heat of

1000BTU/ft 3

). If this pressure limit is exceeded,

adjust it with the pressure reducing valve.

• Gases containing H2S (hydrogen sulfide)

should be passed through the purifier so as to

reduce its content below 0.1 %. The manufacturer

does not take the responsibility for the trouble

which results from using the gas with a H2S content

of more than 0.1% .
