With reference to the subject cited above, I, Praveen Toraty N.S.S.Programme Officer NSS unit of Aditya Degree College, Surampalemis here with submitting the Accounts & Report for NSS Special Camp Conducted from 06.01.2019 to 12.01.2019 in our NSS adopted village- Anuru, Peddapurammandal. We have involved our volunteers in creating Awareness Programmes based on health care with Theme “Aayushkam (Wishing for good health)” in Anuru village. In this connection, we request NSS of AKNU to provide NSS Special camp certificates to our volunteers of special camp. I request you to release the special camp grant of Rs. 22,500/- (Twenty Two Thousand Five Hundered Rupees Only)

NSS Aayushkam- Inauguration

Day – 1

(06-01-2019)

The seven days NSS special camp was inaugurated by chief guest S.Aravind, Ex-Sarpanch of Anuru

Village in presence of guest of honor Sri. Ch. Nagabhushanam, Head Master of Government Upper Primary

School, Anuru, Sri. E. Mohan, Principal of Aditya Degree College, Surampalem and D.Ashtha Sharma,

Principal of AGBS, Surampalem. Started the event with our National Anthem.

Sarpanch of village speaking on the occasion of Inauguration of Special Camp has appreciated students of

Aditya for being NSS volunteers to the village and serving in the village since a year and still continuing

their well mannered public services in the village. He further encouraged students to do much more social

service and enlightened their servicing spirit.

Principal of the college, Sri. E.Mohan speaking on this occasion, has discussed a real story of a village

development with innovation and smartness from one of the young Sarpanch in India, Ms. Bhakti Sharma

of Barkhedi Abdulla village, Bhopal. He Quoted “Aditya Is, Was and Will be in its prime position in serving

the Nation through NSS and it has more than 50 NSS units in East & West Godavari Districts dedicated to

NSS”.

Programme Officer Mr. Praveen Toraty has organised the event and made the success with all support of

NSS Volunteers, Principals, H.M. of School and Sarpanch of the village. Support of Panchayat Official Mr.

Lakshman is also most appreciable for the services. NSS PO has announced the one week plan of NSS

special camp at the inauguration meet.

NSS Volunteers has conducted cultural & folk performances as part of Special Camp Aayushkam

Inauguration. They made dance performance and skeet play in the Anuru Community hall. Govt. School

children attended the event and completed the event.

NSS Aayushkam– Dental Camp

Day – 2

NSS unit of Aditya Degree College, Surampalem has organised a Dental Camp as part of Aayushkam Health

Care camp. This camp is organised by NSS in association with Royal Dental Super Speciality Hospital,

Kakinada. Senior Dentist of the clinic Dr.UppalapatiSatyanaryana, Root canal Specialist and

Dr.U.Vijayalakshmi has offered their free dental screening and preliminary examinations to the people of

Anuru village. Four hospital staff has participated in the service by doctor and organising the camp in a well

defined manner.

With the help of Anurupanchayati member Lakshman whose very co-operative in public service has

announced and advertised about the Dental camp in the village which is going to be held on next day.

Many people get to know the news of NSS camps through advertisements in mics which are present at

remote location of the village. Our NSS volunteers has themselves into 5 groups and distributed to

different places of the village to identify dental patients and get them to the camp.

Students from Leona Dental Sciences Institute were been invited to the camp to create awareness on

Dental Hygiene and how maintain healthy teeth. Dental students have also discussed about correlation of

dental issues with general health care with village people. Forensic students cum NSS volunteers have

discussed about importance of Forensic Odontology with children, people and other invites of camp.

NSS volunteers has organised camp by maintaining queue of patients, registering their name in O.P. of

camp, Writing details on Prescription, checking the dental issue before sending to the doctor and supply of

medicines to the patients. The dental camp has its success point by treating 55 patients in 4hrs in the

morning session and continued with awareness program in other half. It is also observed that many school

children are suffering with dental infections and problems due their bad eatery habits. Patients having the

prescription receipt of Royal Dental Clinic has been availed with 30% discount on further consultancy to

the clinic.

Director of Aditya Global Business School, Dr.N.Suguna Reddy has appreciated Dr.U.Satyanarayana for his

good services for the welfare of Villagers health and being part of Aditya’s NSS team.

NSS Aayushkam– Eye Care Camp

Day – 3

NSS unit of Aditya Degree College, Surampalem has organised an Eye Care Camp as part of Aayushkam

Health Care camp. This camp is organised by NSS in association withSankurathri Foundation, Kakinada.

Senior Eye care specialist of the Sri Kiran Eye Hospital Dr.Durga Prasad, Eye cataract Specialist and his team

has offered their Eye sight check-up, Diabetes, Blood Pressure and cataract tests to the people of Anuru

village. Four hospital staff has participated in the service by doctor and organising the camp in a well

defined manner.

With the help of Anurupanchayati member Lakshman whose very co-operative in public service has

announced and advertised about the Eye care camp in the village which is going to be held on next day.

Many people get to know the news of NSS camps through advertisements in mics which are present at

remote location of the village. Our NSS volunteers has divided themselves into 5 groups and distributed to

different places of the village to identify patients with eye problems and get them to the camp.

NSS volunteers has organised camp by bringing them to camp, maintaining queue of patients, registering

their name in O.P. of camp, Writing details on Prescriptionand supply of medicines to the patients. The Eye

camp has its success point by treating 62 patients in 4hrs in the morning session and continued with

awareness program in other half. Sri Kiran Eye Hospital has offered free eye check-up, free glasses and

specs for the patient. Patients having the prescription receipt of Sri Kiran Eye Hospital has been availed

with free cataract eye operation with free of cost and also offered free accommodation and food facilities

until the treatment is finished. There are 9 patients who eligible and found for conducting a cataract

operation. NSS volunteers has taken the patients to the hospital on 16th January for operation.

Director of Aditya Global Business School, Dr.N.Suguna Reddy has appreciated Dr.Durga Prasad and Dr.

Satyanarayana of Sankurathri foundation for their good services for the welfare of Villagers health and

being part of Aditya’s NSS team.

NSS Aayushkam– Awareness on Organ Donation

Day – 4

(09-01-2019)

NSS Unit of Aditya Degree College has organised an Organ Donation Camp on 09th January in

association a NGO Dr. D.V. Raju Multi-Organ Donation Organisation. Chairman of the organisation

Dr.Badam Balakrishna was the Chief Guest of the camp, other invites of the camp were - S.Aravind, Ex-

Sarpanch of Anuru Village in presence of guest of honor Sri. Padma Raju, Panchayat secretary, Village

Revenue Officer Sri. ---- Sri. Ch. Nagabhushanam, Head Master of Government Upper Primary School,

Anuru, Sri. E. Mohan, Principal of Aditya Degree College, Surampalem and D.Ashtha Sharma, Principal of

AGBS, Surampalem. Started the camp with our National Anthem.

Principal of Aditya Degree College has addressed the gathering with his welcome speech and

initiated theprogram. Dr.Badam Balakrishna has the session for 1 hour regarding Organ Donation – Its

benefits for others who needs organs, Standards of Organ donations, How to be an Organ Donor and

What are the legal procedures for organ donation etc., were been discussion with students and village

people in the village. Pragati Engineering College NSS Unit students were also been part of this camp, as

they were also invited for Organ Donation Camp. All the students and delegates of the camp have pledged

for Organ Donation and recorded their pledge with Dr.D.V. Raju Organ Donations.

NSS volunteers were been trained with proper knowledge about Organ Donations and Dead body

donation by Dr.Badam Balakrishna and provided with Pledge forms & Id Cards. NSS Volunteers divided

themselves into 15 groups 2 in each and went inside the village. Volunteers visited 56 houses and

successfully brought 26 Organ Donation pledges and 1 Body Donation Pledge.

On other half of the day, NSS unit has organised a Lunch session to all village people and delegates

of the camp. NSS volunteers has organised this lunch session in association with Anuru Gram panchayat as

part of Maavooru Program and completed the camp successfully.

Chairman of Aditya Educational Institutes, Dr.N.Sesha Reddy has appreciated Dr.Badam Balakrishna and

Swathi of Dr.D.V. Raju Organ Donations Foundation for their good services for the welfare of Villagers

health and being part of Aditya’s NSS team.

NSS Aayushkam– Swachh Bharat

Day – 5

(10-01-2019)

NSS unit of Aditya Degree College, surampalem has conducted Swachh Bharat SevaKaryakram at Anuru

village as part of NSS Aayushkam Special Camp. NSS volunteers of Aditya college have divided into two

teams and went into the village to clean the CC roads which were laid by previous Sarpanch S.Aravind.

Volunteers started the camp by taking the Swachh Bharat rally from Govt. veterinary Hospital of Anuru till

the outskirts of the village. Volunteers has started their clean and dusting work with broom sticks from the

outskirts and continued till Govt. School and completed the camp. Volunteers also educated the villagers

that the streets in which they are staying to be clean, neat and green, if it is not maintained properly there

is high risk causing harmful and deadly diseases to the people in the village. Students have distributed

plastic dustbins, two in each house and instructed them to use the dustbins separately for wet trash and

dry trash. Volunteers have cleaned 9 CC roads and Govt. School surroundings as part of this Swachh Bharat

Mission.

In the other half the day volunteers has taken awareness classes in the Govt. School for both villagers and

children and taught them the hygiene disciplines and practices. Volunteers has passed a message to the

people stating that “it is impossible to be healthy without the clean and neat surrounding”

NSS Aayushkam– Sports & Rangoli Competitions

Day – 6

(11-01-2019)

NSS unit of Aditya Degree College, Surampalem has organised sports events to the Govt. School children. School

children of class 7th and 6th has participated in outdoor games- Kabbadi for boys and Kho-Kho for girls. Four teams of

boys have participated in kabbadi, where 1 winning and 1 running teams were finalized. Only 2 teams of girls have

participated in Kho-Kho game and 1 team got winning award. The program was organised with help of Head master,

Teachers, NSS volunteers of the camp. All children gathered as an assembly at the end of the camp and respected

our nation with national anthem followed by prize distribution to winners of games and competition.

In the other half day of camp NSS have organised a Rangoli competition to NSS girls. As Sankranti, Pongal festivals

were ahead of 2 days we organised this event. 7 teams of girls have participated in the competition and drawn

various designs of Rangoli on the grounds of school. They clean the ground and spread water on ground, then filled

with Rangoli designs. Girls have participated actively and made amazing designs. The winner of the competition was

G.Vardhani of Amalapuram for best design of Rangoli.

Smt. Lakshmi Rajyam Madam Director of Aditya Educational Institutes has appreciated E.Mohan Principal of Aditya

Degree College for Encouraging NSS in traditional and sports events to be conducted.

NSS Aayushkam– Comprehensive Survey - 3

Day – 6

(12-01-2019)

NSS unit of Aditya Degree College has conducted its last NSS comprehensive survey that is third time to complete

whole analysis of the village. With the cooperation of AnuruGrama Panchayat and People in the village has provided

a valuable information about the village people and the data required to analyse problems in the village. NSS

volunteers have divided themselves into 10 groups and conducted the activity. On this day NSS volunteers have

visited about 200 houses and collected the data the given proforma and obtained proper statistics of the village.
