CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SITECOMMUNITYThe site selected for this internship program was Shey Bench primary school this school is one of the schools which are located to Shey Bench woreda. In this woreda there is one high school, one preparatory school, one primary school and one kindergarten school which established by the Shey Bench orthodox school. In the shay bench primary school; students are come from different social religious group. The dominant religions in the community are orthodox, protestant, Islam and in small amount traditional local religion such as kalicha. A family of student lives through on engaging in farming, trading, civil servant, small business activities and hand crafts. Most of families are farmers and they are using different farm activities mainly mixed farming activities that is crop cultivation and animal rearing. Partnerships that have been established in the shay bench primary school are mainly the PTA and community education board. The PTA and the board serve as abridge between the school and the community inters of managing the all over activities of the school in order to overcome the existing problems contributing in kind material and labor. They have been effective in building additional class.Providing reference material, planning how to generate income and manage it. Assuring (discipline and fulfilling necessary materials in order to create safe and attractive learn environment.

In the shay bench primary school parents have specific opportunities for participation. At the beginning of the school year by means of the report of the year whey evahate the performance of the school and provide valuate feedback how the school will be operate successfully in the new year. Besides this at the end of the semester and at the end of the school year. The analysis of the result of students will be reported at the school presence of families. Based on the report things that should be improved in thesides.of families, students, teachers as well as the school and WEO will be raised and discussed. As aresultof parents participation that is concerned with the results of students, parents and concerned bodies have got due attention in order to assist and follow up students. This also helped able to improve achievement of students and contributed for the quality of education.Agency work cooperatively with the school is the Bonga College of teacher's education. This college provides in the job training for teachers and grants some reference materials that are related with teaching profession. The college also gives stationeries and balls.
