Presidents Corner
FALL OUTING: We have planned a fall outing for club members this year. We are going to be taking a day
cruise to the Town Line Museum in Johnstown, New York on September 19th
. The club members will be meeting
at Curtis Lumber on Route 67 in Ballston Spa at 1:00 p.m. We will then proceed to the Town Line Museum for a
tour. After the tour we will be having dinner at a local eatery. The following is a description of the Museum:
JOHNSTOWN - Bob and Deb Landrio's Town Line Museum is a shrine devoted to a simpler time.
The museum, on Route 29 just north of the city, celebrates the spirit of the late '50s and early '60s with a
vast array of memorabilia from that bygone era. No tour of the collection would be complete without a
guide, and Bob Landrio has a story to tell for every antique jukebox, toy and soda-pop bottle in the place.
I would like to thank the club members and especially John Smith our chairman for another wonderful Metro
Ford Car Show. It was a beautiful day for a car show and it seemed like everyone was having a great time. I
would like to thank Metro Ford for having us again and all their help in pulling this off. We had a nice crowd of
137 beautiful cars and seemed like many spectators.

Directions to our “Summer Location” at Pirates Hideout: The address is 175 Guideboard Road, Waterford, NY; phone number is (518) 373-8438 (pirateshideout.com).
Directions are as follows from the Northway: Take exit 8A follow signs for Grooms Road. Turn right onto Grooms
Road. At route 9 continue through the light at which time the name of the road will change to Guideboard road.
Continue on this road for about ½ mile and it will be on your left next to the Stewarts Shop.
As in the past this is at no cost to the club thanks to Al’s hospitality to us. Please come with an appetite and
purchase some of the great food or ice cream treats in an effort to show Al our appreciation for the use of the
facility. Also, bring that beautiful car of yours weather permitting and show it off in the front lot.

Hoffman Car Wash Tickets: Ticket prices are $6.00 for the basic (exterior automatic wash only) and $14.00 for the deluxe (exterior automatic
wash and interior vacuuming & cleaning). They have no expiration date and are the cheapest way to get a great
Hoffman car wash. All of the profits are donated to our local Make-A-Wish chapter. Please see Steve Freed at
any club function or send a self-addressed stamped envelope with payment made out to the club. Please indicate

Minutes from August 4, 2015 Meeting

Old Business Meeting held at Pirates Hide-Out
Meeting called to order at 7:03pm.
Walt asked the membership to accept the minutes
from the July meeting. Jim Crall made a motion to
accept the minutes and Ed Kepner seconded the
motion. Minutes were approved.
Walt passed around the club mail
Steve Freed distributed the Treasurer’s report for
members to review. The beginning balance was
$2,526.73 and the ending balance is $3.186.46.
Steve reported that John Watters will get the
donation for Make-a-Wish from Ding-a-Ling.
Phil Benner made a motion to accept the
treasurer’s report and the motion was seconded by
Bob Nass. The treasurer’s report was accepted.
Bi-monthly dinners – The next dinner will be on
October 10th at the Glenville Queen Diner at
4:30pm.
Harbor House Cruise ins will continue thru
September 24.

dealership as has been done in the

Walt reported we need additional
donations for the Make-a-Wish
raffle. These items do not need to
be car related.
John will call Wendy Brown
about the voting materials for the
show.
Club Clothing is available from Wendy Brown.
Town Line Museum Cruise – It was agreed we
will cruise to the Museum on September 19th.
There is no entrance fee but donations are
appreciated. We will meet at 1pm at the Curtis
Lumber parking lot. We will proceed from there
to the Museum for a tour and then we will have
dinner around 5pm in the area of the museum with
the museum owner.
Walt asked for volunteers to pass out flyers at the
August 10th Guptill’s Cruise In.
New Business Any suggestions for By-law changes need to be
given to an officer in writing before the October
meeting. If you need a copy of the By-Laws, ask
Linda for one.
It was decided the nomination committee will
consist of John Watters and Jim Crall. If you are
interested in running for office, let one of them
know.
Harbor House is discussing with DJ Andy the
possibility of an all Mustang show in October.
Jack Byrne called Walt asking if the Club would
be interested in participating in next year’s 4th of
July parade in Clifton Park. It was suggested we
include the trailer in the parade. Walt will get
more details and report back.
Walt had an inquiry asking if anyone in the club,
with a 2013 or newer Mustang convertible, would
be willing to give rides around a neighborhood for
a kid’s birthday party. If you are interested, let
Walt know.
John Watters asked Steve to have the Halfmoon
Town Hall added to our insurance policy so we
are covered while having meetings there.
