ADDING TITLE GRAPHICS

Page 2: Adding title graphics

The title is very important to a

film because it introduces the

film or video to the video.

Typically the opening title will tell

the viewer the production team/s

that is behind the film.

For our film we are going to

introduce ourselves as our

production companies name.

"DMC Productions“ This title can

be added in Premiere by going

to the title tab and selecting new

title. Because this is the opening

title, it would have to be still so

default still is selected.

I would have to make sure

that the frame in which the

title graphic will be placed, is

true to the frame it would be

placed on.

Also here I can name the title

to make finding it easy.

This window in Premiere is used for editing the text within the

frame.

Our company’s name was entered and an appropriate font style

was selected. The title was created in such a way that the

background to the text was transparent. This was done to allow

the video underneath to be visible.

By selecting the option

to make background

transparent the title can

be placed over video

and both the video and

the title would be

visible.

The title is now entered into

the media selection files.

The title can now be moved

into place over the first

video. The title will be added

in the same way other

media files have been

added. A simple drag and

drop.

I can place the title on a

video track directly over the

primary video track. I don’t

have to worry about

overlapping images

because the title’s

background is transparent,

only the text itself is visible.

The title graphic has now

been correctly added to the

film.
