Open the scripts screen fromthe left hand side of the MainMenu screen. Then either openan existing script or create anew one.

In the ‘Add Script Element’section, as well as Text,Questions and Tags, you canalso add Events. Click on the‘Add’ on the right hand side ofthe Event line.

To add the event shift to yourscript, select the date andevent. If your event has multiplelocations, shifts and roles, youmust select one of each ofthese too. Click the ‘Add’button.

The event shift will then beincluded in the preview. Whenyou then use the script in yourVirtual Phone Bank, users willbe able to select whether thesupporter will be attending theshift or not.

WhatYou will often wish to phone people to promote your events. You can include

information about your events in to the Virtual Phone Bank and schedule attendancedirectly into the system.

Why Phoning supporters is the most effective way to increase attendance at events.Using the Virtual Phone Bank makes this a quick and effective operation.

Where The phoning is done through the My Campaign Virtual Phone Bank. You will need toset up your script and phone bank specifically for phoning about events.

If you have a lot of eventspeople could be attending, thenit is often easier to use theEvent Scheduler, rather thanadd each individual event to ascript.

This is especially useful incampaign time, when you mayhave campaigning events set upevery day and wish to knowwhen people will be attending.

When setting up the VirtualPhone Bank, check the box toinclude the Event Scheduler.

Users will then have the optionto click the ‘Schedule’ link onthe VPB screen. This will pop upa calendar and list screen. Theuser can select the date that thesupporter is able to help tobring up the available events onthat date.

They can then change thestatus for each session thesupporter is able to attend.They then click ‘Save andClose’ and return to using theVPB as usual.

Use the filter boxes toshow only events with aparticular type, name,

roles or location.
