Change 17 inches into feet and inches Take 17 ÷ 12 and find a remainder. So 1 ft 5 in and add that to 6 ft 6 ft + 1 ft 5 in 7 ft 5 in
Example: 11 ft 6 in - 2 ft 8 in Can we subtract 6 and 8? We need to borrow! How many do we
borrow? Right we have to borrow 12 inches since we
are taking it from 1 foot! Add the 12 inches to the 6 inches there And now subtract like normal!
