Addendum No. 2 Towsontown & Glen Parking Garage Restoration

TU-2053 February 10, 2020 Ladies and Gentleman: The purpose of this addendum is to clarify certain portions of the above-referenced project with all prospective vendors. Clarification: C3. Sign-in sheets from the pre-bid conference and second site visit are included with this addendum. Questions: Q2. Please provide a quantity for the Towsontown Garage, Repair Procedure #9 – coating of exposed angles. A2. Repair procedure #9 is in reference to bearing plate/connection plates between precast members. This involves bearing plates between spandrel beams and columns, double tees and spandrel beams, and any other exposed steel plates that are rusting. The quantity for bid purposes is 268. Any adds or deducts for cleaning and coating of steel connection bearing plates will be per the unit price included in the bid form. Q3. Please provide locations and square footage for deck coatings. A3. Per sheet S1-02, note 4 on the Glen Garage Repair Drawings, traffic deck coating shall be applied on all driving surfaces of the entrance ramp per repair procedure #7. Alternate 1, if accepted, includes topside surface deck coating of the vehicular bridge at the Towsontown Garage per sheet S1-05B, note 2 using repair procedure #8. Q4. Towsontown Garage Drawings, Page S1-08A—Please clarify designator “WT5-1-6” between column lines X6 and X7a. A4. This repair is meant to read W5-1-6 Q5. Towsontown Garage Drawings, Page S1-08B—Please clarify designator “B1-2-10” between column lines 4 and 5. A5. This repair is meant to read BM1-2-10 Q6.. Please confirm that this project needs to be completed within the 11week timeframe. A6. The project must be completed within the timeframe indicated in the Scope of Work

Q7. Will the garages be closed off to all traffic during that time? A7. The garage(s) will remain open during construction as indicated in the scope of work. The contractor may close a portion of a floor at a time in coordination with TU. Construction must be sequenced to allow access to floors and portions of floors that are not under construction. This will require appropriate signage, cones, and construction barriers to safely and clearly indicate accessible driving and walking routes and to securely block off areas under construction.

Q8. Do you anticipate extending the bid due date? A8. At this time TU does not anticipate extending the bid due date.

Q9. What additional details are you willing to provide, if any, beyond what is stated in bid documents concerning how you will identify the winning bid? A9. Please refer to IFB Section I.N – Award. Q10. Was this bid posted to the nationwide free bid notification website at www.mygovwatch.com? A10. No Q11. Other than your own website, where was this bid posted? A11. This solicitation has been posted to the TU Bid Board and eMMa. Q12. Please clarify the type and manufacturer of the expansion joints to be replaced in the Towsontown Garage. A12. The expansion joint replacement at Towsontown Garage shall be Emseal Thermaflex TCR series product or approved equal. Q13. Please clarify the Euclid Flexdeck traffic coating system whether, light, medium or high traffic. A13. High traffic coating should be used. Q14. The drawings indicate using Sika patch, crack repair and sealant material, but, the specifications for the coatings and Euclid Flexdeck System, pages 0713602-0713606 and the Euclid data sheets specify using Euclid material. Please confirm which is the proper material. A14. The typical crack and spall repair products basis of design are Sika. Crack and spall repairs shall be made using Sika products. The Euclid Flex Deck system shall be installed after the concrete repairs have been performed on the vehicle bridge(s). Q15. The designation for repairs show the repair type, the procedure and the quantity. The quantity shown includes the total of all arrows pointing to the locations for that specific repair? A15. If multiple arrows are pointing from a damage key identifier, the quantity shown includes the total of all arrows pointing from that specific damage key identifier.

All addenda will be incorporated into the final contract documents and will be binding on all vendors responding to this solicitation. Each vendor submitting a bid/proposal must acknowledge receipt of all addenda by completing and
