Add Light FixtureTo add a HALO Home device, you first need a HALO Home account.

Add Light Fixture

1. Connect your HALO Home compatible device to a power source and stand nearby. The app works only when your HALO Home compatible device is powered and within about 100 feet of your phone or tablet. 

2. The device is powered and ready to be added if the blue LED light is double flashing.

3. Next, you will register an available HALO Home device and add the device to your account by pressing the Add Device or + button on the HALO Home App. If additional devices are in range, you will be able to add them to your account one at a time. 

4. Select the fixture you wish to claim to your account.

5. Once the fixture is selected and highlighted, press Done.

6. After claiming a device, you will be returned to the Devices menu where you can see a list of all HALO Home devices that have been claimed to your account. Although HALO Home controllers can be claimed from the Devices screen, they will not appear in the list of devices. Both Groups and Controllers will be shown in their own respective menus that can be accessed through the App Drawer by clicking on the horizontal bar menu on the top left

Modify Light Fixture

Once you have claimed a light fixture to your account, you can assign a name and a picture to the light fixture.

1. Navigate to the Devices screen.

To name or assign a picture to a newly claimed device, tap the three vertical dots icon to the right of the device. 

2. Tap the pencil  icon on the right. 

3. To name this device or assign/change it’s picture, tap the photo icon icon or the pencil icon in order to edit picture or edit name, respectively. 

4. When editing the device’s name, simply type the name you’d prefer in place of it’s currently assigned name and press OK.

5. When editing the device’s picture, choose whether you would like to take a picture of the device using your smartphone or tablet, or if you already have a picture, from your photo library.  

6. This opens the camera resource in your mobile device.

Take a picture of your device.

7. If the picture is acceptable, press Use Photo.

8. The device page will update with the picture you selected.

Remove Light Fixture

Follow these steps to un-claim a HALO Home light fixture from your account.  

The device must be turned on and in range for the un-claiming process to be successful.

1. First, you must log into the user account that was used to claim the device. Tap the three vertical dots icon then the pencil  icon to access the device›s details page.

2. Select the pencil icon of the device you wish to remove from your account.

3. Tap the menu in the upper right corner of the detail screen for that device.

4. Tap Remove.

5. Confirm that you want to remove the selected device from your account.

6. HALO Home will remove the device from your account.

7. The device is now removed from your account.

Anyplace Switch Add Anyplace Switch

The HALO Home Movable Switch enables you to add a switch, anywhere.

1. To use an HALO Home Movable switch, you first need to have an HALO Home User Account, and set up an HALO Home compatible device, like the RL4 or RL56 downlights.

2. Remove from the box and remove the back plate by pressing your thumbs forward on the front of the switch, near the top. The back panel should slide down opposite the switch. Lift the back panel off. 

3. Install the three CR2032 batteries provided in the box. They should be installed fat side up (+).

4. Important: The red indicator light should come on for about 1 second and go off. If the light stays on permanently, it is necessary to remove the batteries and reinstall them again. The switch will not function if the light is on permanently. 

5. Go to the HALO Home app and navigate to the controller screen.

6. Press the +  button on the upper right.

7. Click the button at the bottom of the screen to add the Anyplace Switch.

8. At this point you should see the switch appear on the screen. If the switch does not appear in the screen before the flashing light goes off, then press the button on the switch again and repeat the process.

9. Select the Anyplace Switch from the list.

10. When the Anyplace Switch is selected, press the button at the bottom of the screen again.

11. Use the controls at the bottom of the screen to associate Devices and Groups to your Anyplace Switch.

12. Once you have your Anyplace Switch configured to your liking, press the Save button.

13. Press the button on the Anyplace Switch one more time.

14. Wait until the process is complete.

15. Your Anyplace Switch is now paired to your account. Press the Back button to return to the list of Controllers.

16. You may now control your lighting using the Anyplace Switch.

At this point the switch will be added and you will be ready to associate it to a device.

Remove Anyplace switch

1. To remove your Anyplace Switch from your account, navigate to the Controllers screen and select the Anyplace Switch.

2. Press the vertical button icon on the top right of the screen.

3. Press the Remove menu item.

4. Follow the instructions on the screen.

5. Press the button on the Anyplace Switch.

6. Your Anyplace Switch is removed from your account.

Customizing the Anyplace Switch

1. If you want to associate to a single device, select the Devices tab at the bottom. Swipe the device photos left or right until you find the device you want.

2. To associate to a group of devices, Create a group if you have not done so already. Then press the Groups. You must create the group before you associate with the switch. Next swipe the group photos left or right until you find the group you want. 

3. If you like, you can give the switch a name and a photo by touching the switch name or photo. Press Save in the upper right corner of the app screen.

4. You can also Take Picture of the Anyplace Switch for your account.

5. If you are happy with your picture, press the Use Photo button on the bottom right.

6. Now, select the Devices and Groups you wish to control via your Anyplace Switch.

7. When you are done associated devices with your switch, press the Save button at the top right of the screen.

8. Follow the instructions on the screen.

9. Press the button on the Anyplace Switch.

10. You will know that the switch has properly saved when the app closes the association screen and returns to the controller dashboard, and you will also see the device or group name on the switch dashboard.

Important: If you do not press the button on the switch and see the app close the association screen, the changes will not be saved to the switch and it will not work as expected.

Internet Access BridgeSetting up your Internet Access Bridge (Bridge) is easy and just takes a minute or two.

Important:

• Plug in the Bridge within 40 feet but not closer than 5 feet of the Wi-Fi Router you want to connect it to• Make sure there is an HALO Home device with 60 feet of the Bridge• When setting up the Bridge Wi-Fi with your phone, stand near the closest HALO Home Device to the Bridge, not the Bridge itself• It may take up to 3 minutes for the Bridge to be visible to your network after it is plugged in• You will need HALO Home app version 1.5.0 or later to use the Bridge

Add Internet Access Bridge

1. Plug in your Bridge. You should see the Green (Wi-Fi) and Blue (Bluetooth) lights flashing at first.

2. Add the Bridge just like any other device. Once plugged in, open the HALO Home app, and press the + button. You should see the HALO Home Bridge pop up.  

3. Select it and press Done. This will add the Bridge to your account.

4. HALO Home will add the Bridge to your account.

6. After the Bridge is added the Blue LED should turn solid on after about one minute. 

7. Press the button at the bottom of the Bridge settings page to set up your Wi-Fi connection.

8. HALO Home will search for WiFi networks in reach.

9. Select your WiFi network and press Next.

10. You will be prompted to enter your WiFi password.

11. Enter your password and press Next on the keyboard.

12. HALO Home will connect the Bridge to your WiFi network.

13. When the process is complete, press Done.

15. The green circle on the screen will confirm the Bridge successfully connected to your WiFi network.

Reconfigure Internet Access Bridge WiFi

You may need to do this if:

• Your router is changed• You want to connect your Bridge to a different wifi network• Your wifi password has changed• You have moved your Bridge to a different location

1. Navigate to the Controllers list and press the orange arrow on the right side of the Bridge list item.

2. Press the button at the bottom of the Bridge settings page to set up your WiFiconnection. 

3. Set up your Bridge and assoicate to your WiFi network.

4. Select the Wifi connection you want and press Next Enter the WiFipassword.
