ADAPT is a locally designed and manufacturedoffice benching system.

Given the constantly evolving way in which we work, there is a need for a system that goes beyond merely satisfying the core functional elements of benching, and provides for flexibility in relation to how people function in today’s modern workplace.

It was under this premise that Adapt was born.

project team

The premise behind this configuration is to provide for maximum communication between individuals by minimizing obstructions. It is assumed that this group would be highly mobile, and require little personal storage.

call centreAdapt can be easily configured to suite call centres, where space and storage requirements are minimal. Pedestals are replaced with compact day filers, and screens that afford privacy.

administrative role

What is shown here is a general administrative role, where requirements would dictate a level of personal storage, achieved by mobile furniture elements, and increased privacy without limiting flow of light or creating a ‘boxed in’ or cubicle effect with screens. While one type of storage solution is shown here, a range is available depending on the individual’s needs.

clerical role

For the clerical role the furniture would adapt to accommodate a high level of close proximity storage and increased privacy. This is accomplished by the addition of intermediate screens along the worktops, swapping out the mobile pedestals for mobile filing units, and placing high density perimeter storage units in the form of drop down systems cabinets.

For the clerical role the furniture would adapt to accommodate L- extension tops and increased privacy.This is achieved by the addition of intermediate screens along the work-tops, swapping out the mobile pedestals, mobile filing units, and adding L-extensions and so increasing work surface area.

120º desking

The 120 º desk configuration offers excellent ergonomic properties that allows the user to have a large surface area all within reach. This 120º footprint is available in multiples of 3 and this configuration is ideal for teams or groups where effective communication and interaction is required.

What is shown here is a general Managerial role ,where requirements would dictate a level of personal storage, achieved by a range of freestanding storage options and furnishings , the freestanding desk, meeting table and variations of storage increase personalization options. Storage units have plinths added for seamless and neat cable reticulation.

Adapt meeting tables are essential for effective collaborative work & communication as well as for comfortable formal and informal meetings. A range of finishes allow for personalization and 900 mm dia and 1200 mm diatops as standard make for comfortable 3 and 4 seaters.

functional benching

Benching systems make use of rectilinear configurations. This is done for a couple of reasons, but primarily as it means components can be shared, thereby reducing cost, and so that services can be delivered with ease to the individual workstations. What results from this type of configuration is space saving, which in turn reduces cost.

system development

Adapt can be easily modified to suite a range of workplace scenarios or functions. The under structureis essentially where this happens, by adding or removing frame components and then simply fixing theworktops and other accessories. This way the footprint can also be extended.
