DESCRIPTION
Lawsuit on behalf of Adam Holland, a mentally disabled resident of Nashville, Tennessee, brought by his parents, Pamela and Bernard Holland, against Russell LaLevee (a Minnesota resident) Dave Brown (who allegedly operates signgenerator.org) and Cox Media Group (which owns WHTP-FM in Tampa Bay, Florida). Plaintiffs allege that a photo of Adam holding up a sign became an unflattering internet meme, and they now seek $18 million in damages under the Tennessee Personal Rights Protection Act, defamation, misappropriation of likeness, false light invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
