Acts 17:26
Acts 17:26And He has made from one
blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined
their preappointed times and the boundaries of their
dwellings
God Created One People Our text indicates a common
ancestrySome translations differ, do not use word “blood”
“and He made from one, every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times, and the boundaries of their habitation” (Acts 17:26)
Man differs from all other creatures “All flesh is not the same flesh, but there
is one flesh of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another flesh of birds, and another of fish” (1 Cor. 15:39)
Especially true with blood Cannot transfuse with animals or fish However, can transfuse over gender or race
or nationality or language differences All are descendants of Adam
Little differences in elementary physical makeup
No indication of a spiritual difference either (1 Tim. 2:3-4)
Oneness Of Gospel Message
The all-inclusive Great Commission “Go therefore and make disciples of all
the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit” (Matt. 28:19)
“And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation’” (Mk. 16:15)
“and that repentance for forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem” (Lk. 24:47)
The message of the gospel was for all people (Rom. 1:16)“...to every one who believes…”
Corresponds to John 3:16A corresponding promise (Jn. 6:40)
“...to the Jew first and also to the Greek”In New Testament time this means everyone in the world
Expression used several times
All of this is necessary because all have sinned“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23)
The range of the remedy must fit the range of the illness
God Is No Respecter Of Persons
Peter experienced this (Acts 10:34-43) Reminds brethren at “council” (Acts 15:9) Consider the need to be reminded
He is the God of Jews and Gentiles (Rom. 3:29)
He is Lord of all (Rom. 10:12) He calls all to salvation (Rom. 9:24) God does not recognize physical
differences when it comes to salvation (Gal. 3:26-29)
