Besides “Tilt” and “Turn”, and in comparison to standard Tilt-Turn windows, activPilot

the window to this position is relatively easy, you simply turn the window handle to 180°

and that’s it. The window sash is then opened parallel to the frame creating an all round

6mm ventilation gap. This helps provide natural and safe ventilation during all kinds of

weather. Additionally the window in this position can offer a level of burglary security

normally provided by a window in a closed position, depending on the window design.

Winkhaus steel components on all four sides of the window make a forced entry through

the sash substantially more difficult. Due to the parallel vented position it is difficult to

see a change in the window from the outside, no signals are given to potential burglars.

The benefits of this innovative ventilation method can also be seen when it rains, even

when it rains gently, a normal tilt position of a window will permit the penetration of

water, while the parallel positioned window will help keep even driving rain out. Another
