Vacation time: at the beachor in the mountains?

So, do you like beach vacationsor do you prefer to spend your timein the mountains? They can both begreat ways to take a vacation, so weasked two of our readers which theypreferred. Heres what they told us.

Marta, 20: Ive always preferredthe mountains. The way I see it,the advantages of a vacation in themountains far outweigh those of abeach vacation. For one thing, you canenjoy the amazing scenery and youdont have to share it with thousandsof tourists. Another plus point is thatyou can do so many healthy activitiessuch as hiking, rafting, and mountaineering. Itsreally important to do something sporty whenyoure on vacation. The only drawback for somepeople is the accommodation. If you always stayin luxury hotels, you might nd it hard to sleep outin the open air in a tent, but Id say getting backto nature is one of the best things about adventuretravel in the mountains.

Isabel, 25: Oh, for me it has tobe the beach! If you ask me, youdhave to be crazy to spend yourvacation up a mountain in a tent! How do you get room service, for one thing?! Personally, I thinkthe point of a vacation is to enjoya more luxurious lifestyle thannormal and I believe theres nobetter place to do this than ave-star resort hotel. There areso many benets, I dont knowwhere to start. Its so relaxing tohave somebody else prepare allyour meals for you and then torecover from all that delicious

food by lying on the beach! There are bad points,of course. Beach resorts can get crowded and themain downside is the price, but nothing beats abeach vacation!
