FRIDAY 5 AUGUSTLIVE MUSIC AT THE LOFTHead down to the Loft at UTS, the University heritage bar to enjoy some live music, great cocktails and delicious home-made pizza. Happy Hour from 2-6pm.

8 – 19 AUGUSTCLUB OLYMPICS Join a club and be part of this awesome sporting event. Clubs will compete in a range of sports over 2 weeks to decide who will be crowned our Club Olympic champions! Awesome prizes will be up for grabs and awarded at our closing ceremony drinks.

THURSDAY 4 AUGUSTCLUBS DAYTime: 9am – 4pm

Location: UTS Building 1, Levels 3, 4 & 5

Welcome to the ActivateUTS Clubs Day.

On your marks get set…………GO. We’ll be celebrating all things Olympics!

Wind your way round the track through the Olympic Village into the themed Olympic Ring lounges where you’ll find all your campus clubs and societies.

Free food, giveaways, entertainment and fun you can cross the finish line at one of your two bars here on Campus the Loft or Underground. With the UTS DJ Comp from 6pm in the Loft.

THURSDAY 28 JULYPART 1: HARBOUR BRIDGE WALK & PYLON LOOKOUTWalk the one and only Harbour Bridge and climb 200 steps to the very top of the pylon, 87m above sea level, where you will be rewarded with spectacular panoramic views of the city of Sydney. (Please note, this is not the Harbour Bridge climb)

Time: Departs UTS at 9:00AM - returning to UTS at 11:30AM (estimate) Cost: $8.50 (plus money for transport)

For those keen to continue sightseeing, join the group on the Manly Ferry Trip - See Part 2. Alternatively you can head back to UTS with one of the staff members.

PART 2: MANLY FERRY TRIPThis relaxing journey is a must see for anyone new to Sydney with spectacular harbour and ocean views.

Once in Manly, you’ll have time to explore the Corso, beach and grab some lunch before catching the Ferry back to Circular Quay.

Time: Departs Circular Quay at 11:00AM (estimate). Ferry departure time will depend on the finish time of Part 1 - Harbour Bride Walk. Returning to UTS at 3:30PM (estimate) Cost: Return Ferry (approx. $15) plus money for lunch


SUNDAY 7 AUGUSTSYDNEY TOWER EYE SKYWALKFor an unforgettable Sydney experience step onto Skywalk. Walk 268m above Sydney CBD for a birds eye view of our stunning city

Time: 1:00pm

Cost: $49

Includes: Admission to Sydney Tower Eye and Skywalk

NRL GROUP EXPERIENCEWatch the Wests Tigers battle it out with the North Queensland Cowboys at their spiritual home ground, Leichhardt Oval. Whether you’re a die-hard NRL fan or someone who has never seen a game of Rugby League, a sunny Sunday afternoon at this suburban ground will provide plenty of thrills. Before the game, join us for a free drink at the UTS Haberfield Rowing Club located on the picturesque Iron Cove Bay.

Time: Departs UTS 2:30pmCost: $5 (payable at the UTS Sports Office, Building 4, ground floor)Includes: Return transport from UTS, 1 free drink at the UTS Haberfield Club and ticket to the game.

SATURDAY 6 AUGUSTSKYDIVEThis is for all you thrill seekers! Experience the ultimate adrenaline rush and witness the best view of both Sydney’s central coastline and the Blue Mountains. We will take you up to a height of 14,000ft, your instructor will guide to towards the exit and then it’s 60 seconds of life-changing freefall!

Time: 11:00am

Cost: $230 for jump plus $99 for photos and videos

Includes: Return transfers from Sydney CBD


PARTY BUSNightclub on Wheels! This party bus cruises the streets of Sydney visiting the biggest and best party bars. With an on-board DJ, music sound system and lighting you’ll bounce, sing and laugh your way from one cool place to the next.

Time: 6.30pm meet at Student Uni Travel for a 7.30pm departure.

Cost: $25

Includes: Pre party, 3x bars, 3x drinks, Party Bus between each venue, Pizza snacks and prize giveaways!


FRIDAY 29 JULYCOOGEE TO BONDI WALKBegin the day on one of Sydney’s most famous walks, starting at Coogee and following the spectacular coastline past Bronte, finally ending up in Bondi. The photo oppor-tunities are second to none! It’s then time to enjoy Bondi Beach and some lunch.

Time: 9:00am - 4:00pm (estimate)

Cost: Free for tickets picked up in Orientation Week

HARBOUR SAILINGEnjoy an afternoon sailing the beautiful Sydney Harbour on ‘impulse’, ActivateUTS’ own yacht. Depart from Double Bay ferry wharf at 1pm for three awesome hours of sailing. A fantastic afternoon out where you can sit back taking in the views or get some hands on sailing experience. An activity that fills up super quick so get in early!

Time: 1:00PM - 4:00PM

Cost: $45 per person

SATURDAY 30 JULYPORT STEPHENS WHALE WATCHING Every year close to 10,000 Humpback and Minke whales migrate along the south-east coast of Australia. Witness these extraordinary creatures on a beautiful sailing catamaran off the coast of Port Stephens

SUNDAY 31 JULYBLUE MOUNTAINSEscape to the wilderness and discover this spectacular World Heritage listed National Park with an active day of bushwalks and incredible views. Enjoy coming face to face with the locals at Featherdale Wildlife Park.

Time: 7.30am - 6.30pm

Includes: Guided Blue Mountains adventure and entrance to Featherdale Wildlife Park
