Act II is an inter-generational group on the moveto model intentional discipleship through prayer,

study, fellowship and service.

Choir, having a blast at two Super Bowl parties,participating in tap classes and beginning aLenten study with Dr. Michael Kormanicki. Lookbelow to see some of the exciting opportunities foractivities in the upcoming months.

Ragtime MusicalMembers will attend the UCF production ofRagtime and then have a fellowship gatheringafterwards at the home of Mary Palmer.Read more

Tour of UCF Medical Facilities

Act II will tour the University of Central FloridaMedical Facilities at Lake Nona on Friday, March30, approximately 8:45 to 1:45. For moreinformation call Lee Cross at 407-325-3104. TAP DANCING

Looking for afun addition to your

life? We meet every Tuesday from 12:30to 1:30 in Room 305 of the Matthias Family LifeCenter and have a blast learning how to tapdance. No registration required. Leather soledshoes will work the best for this class --no tennis shoes. Yes . . . you can dance too!

ACT II IN ACTION AT FOOD BANK

Several of our ACT II members recentlyhelped distribute food at the Tuskawilla

United Methodist Church. The picture isblurry because our volunteers were reallymoving fast! Our helpers assisted in the

distribution of over 300 packages tofamilies(which feeds approximately 1,000

people) in a two hour period. This is awonderful example of service in action!

Helping at the food bank will be one of theopportunities during our Faith in Action

weekend on April 13th. If you are interestedin helping with this effort contact Anita or

Lou Williams at 407-629-4372.

March 26-30 is spring break week andwe are offering the community schoolchildren a morning program at South Street.Please volunteer to help in the mornings sothat the children are cared for and inspired byyour loving heart. This will be a volunteeropportunity that will change you forever asyou make a difference for a child. BICYCLE BLESSINGSWorkers needed periodically for Bicycle Blessings

workshops.No prior experience necessary. On-the-job training training provided. Your help is

desperately needed to provide refurbished bikes toneedy kids and adults. The next work day will be

ACT II Study Leader

Act II has joined the rest of the church in a special Lenten study, Praying for Friends andEnemies, by Jane Venard. The 4-week study will be held Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30on the 3rd floor of MFLC. in room 315. The first class began on Wednesday, February 29, from 6:30to 7:30 and will end on March 21. The class will read and discuss the book Praying for Friends and

Enemies by Jane E. Vennard. Jane Vennard will be facilitating a prayer seminar for FUMC on March11 and 12.

The book deals with the questions:

What is intercession?What happens when we pray for others?

How do I pray for my enemies?

This book also gets at the key theological question of whether intercessory prayer is a matter ofchanging God's will. These questions and others are examined within the context of everyday

experiences.All are invited to attend.
