The comprehensive modernization atRusal Sayanal in Sayanogorsk, Rus -sia, comprises the installation of thefollowing new components: new exitdevice, UniFlat flatness measuringroll, UniSpray rolling oil distribution,strip centering device, strip trimmingdevice as well as a completely newelectric equipment for control anddrives. Significantly increased rollingspeeds and essentially narrower tol-erances are the result.

Achenbach OPTILInK® is developingthe linking up of an online spare partscatalogue. Here, the maintenancestaff sees the requested componentsin a virtual view and can do both,initialize the spare part supply andfind out about its specific installation.

After twelve years of trouble-freerunning of the first Achenbach SFCflatness measuring roll in the steelwork Handan Steel # 1, HandanSteel in Handan, China, has now invested in an Achenbach UniFlatmeasuring roll of the latest genera-tion. Its installation including anoperator training unit took placewith the support of AAP. HandanSteel is very satisfied with theincreased performance of its steelrolling mill.
