9th ACFI Board Ofce Bearers Meeting

The 9th ACFI Board Office Bearers Meeting was held on 17th Apr' 2017 in the DCSC Board Room, 1st Floor, Cargo Terminal - 2, IGIAirport, New Delhi under the Chairmanship of Mr. Tushar Jani President ACFI. The members discussed various important issues such as ;-



· ACFI Delhi Chapter to discuss local common issues at the various cargo facilitation committee meetings held by airport operator & Customs. Policy nature should be referred to ACFI Board with justification for taking up with the concerned authorities. Delhi Chapter to engage with other local associations i.e. ACAAI-NR, Bar India Cargo-NR, DCCAA(FFFAI), EICI Delhi office & DACAAI for discussing common issues of interest & then taking up jointly with the respective authorities/ trade facilitation committees for solution.

· Boosting the activities of Bengaluru, Chennai and Ahmedabad Chapters. · Launch of Advance Air Cargo Handling Training Program by MoCA. · ACFI Seminar on 6th September, 2017. · Seeking appointment of Chairperson, CBEC on the issues discussed in the meeting with

Revenue Secretary held on 28th Dec'2016.

Apart from Mr. Tushar Jani, President - ACFI other members who were present in the meeting were namely; Mr. Cyrus Katgara, Vice President – ACFI, Mr. Yashpal Sharma, Hon. Secretary - ACFI, Mr. KS Kunwar, Director General - ACFI, and Mr. Brijesh Kumar Sharma, Office Assistant - ACFI.

1st ACFI Delhi Chapter Meeting

The 1st ACFI Delhi Chapter Meeting was held on 19th Apr' 2017 in the DCSC Board Room, 1st Floor, Cargo Terminal - 2, IGIAirport, New Delhi under the Chairmanship of Mr. Dinkar Singh, Chairman, ACFI Delhi Chapter and Head - Regulatory Affairs, M/s. DHL Express India Private Limited. The members discussed various important issues followed by address by Mr Yashpal Sharma the Hon'ble Secretary updating the members about the various significant activities of ACFI during the last five years of its journey. He also informed that the government authorities have also recognized the strength of ACFI in terms of cargo professional expertise on all the aspects of the cargo trade and has been looking forward to ACFI suggestion for developing any new policies.

Mr Cyrus Katgara, Vice President, ACFI stated that though lots of initiatives at policy level have been taken up by ACFI for improving the processing of EXIM trade at the international airports but still the objective have not been achieved when it comes at brass-tag ( airport/cargo terminal) level.

Mr Dinkar Singh welcomed the members present and thanked the ACFI Board members for their presence in this first meeting of Delhi Chapter and for their valuable guidance which will be kept always in mind by his team. He once again reiterated his commitments along with his team of members for working hard in achieving the objectives of the ACFI Delhi Chapter.

Mr. K. S. Kunwar explained the structure, role and responsibilities of Delhi Chapter.

The 45th ACFI Governing Board Members Meeting was held on 27th Apr' 2017 in the DIAL Conference Room “Wright Brothers”, Ground Floor, Project Office, New Udaan Bhawan, Opp. T3, IGI Airport, New Delhi – 110037 under the Chairmanship of Mr. Tushar Jani President ACFI. The members discussed various important issues such as;-· Launch of ACFI Advance Skill Development Program Level-1 by Hon'ble Minister of

Civil Aviation MoCA. · Scheduling of 5th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of ACFI. Proposal for organizing

ACFI Seminar on 6th September, 2017. · Status of ACFI Chapters viz Bengaluru, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Delhi. Launch of

Kolkata Chapter, Hyderabad and Mumbai Chapters. · One full day Cargo Awareness Training Program at Ahmedabad on 16.05. 2017.· Members annual renewal membership fee for the F.Y. 2017-18. · Financial position of ACFI and completion of audited accounts by 30th May, 2017.

The 3rd ACFI Extended Governing Board Members Meeting was held on 27th Apr' 2017 in the DIAL Conference Room “Wright Brothers”, Ground Floor, Project Office, New Udaan Bhawan, Opp. T3, IGI Airport, New Delhi under the Chairmanship of Mr. Tushar Jani President ACFI. The members reviewed the previous meetings issues.

ACFI EXTERNAL MEETINGS...

Meeting with Additional Secretary, Ministry of Commerce & Industry

With the assistance of ACFI Board a meeting with Mr. J.K. Dadoo, Additional Secretary Ministry of Commerce & Industry was organized on 12th Apr'2017 at 3 PM at Udyog Bhawan New Delhi to discuss the issues raised by Agro Produce Exporters i.e. Field Fresh Foods Pvt. Ltd., Namdhari Seeds Pvt. Ltd and Kay Bee Exports as requested by them through Mr. Sunil Kohli, Member ACFI. Mr. Tushar Jani, President – ACFI, Mr. KS Kunwar, Director General ACFI attended the said meeting. The representatives Mr Abhinev Aggarwal & Mr Pranav Malik of M/s Field Fresh Foods Pvt. Ltd. presented their case before Mr Dadoo about the perishable produce exporters facing acute revenue loss due to withdrawal of transport Assistance Subsidy (TAS) by the government on the export of Agricultural products w.e.f. 1st Oct'2016. Mr Dadoo listened patiently the problems of the exporters and talked Chairman APEDA under whose jurisdiction the matter actually pertained and suggested the exporters community to take up this issue with Chairman APEDA with a detailed proposal suggested by him.

The representatives of the Agro Exporters were satisfied with the deliberations and thanked Mr Dadoo for his advice. The exporters representatives also thanked Mr Tushar Jani the President ACFI for the timely assistance of ACFI Board.
