ABOUT LEGAL OS
Legal OS is making law code. We are an interdisciplinary team of engineers, legal professionals,
designers, and researchers building a new infrastructure for law. We are a venture funded startup
with offices in the heart of Berlin.
ROLE
The ideal candidate for this role is a passionate multitasker who can bring a positive and fun
attitude to the office. You will be responsible for a variety of projects, from keeping the office well-
stocked and organized, to planning events at our office space, to supporting team members in their
every-day work. You will also be aiding in bookkeeping and human resources, as well as various
miscellaneous tasks. Ideally, we would love someone with experience as an office manager, however,
if you feel that you could grow and learn in this position, and are excited to do it, we would love to
hear from you!
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance support & Bookkeeping • Process transactions and invoices, as well as assisting with audits and fact checks.
• Analyzing various financial transfers and processes to ensure they are recorded
appropriately on a monthly and yearly basis.
• Supporting the finance management to prepare monthly reporting.
• Identifying problems in our processes and coming up with solutions.
Human Resources Management • Writing new job descriptions.
• Coordinate the interview process with management.
• Preparing contracts, references and other documents, updating employee files, and ensuring
that required employee documentation is collected.
• Coordinate on-boarding for new hires.
Office Management • Create a fun, positive, and safe working space.
• Maintain all office supplies (stationary, appliances, food, drinks).
• Organize two company team events per year.
• Manage grant applications.
• You are the soul of the office and help establish an environment for wellbeing.
ABOUT YOU
• You have excellent writing and communication skills in English and German.
• Some experience with accounting preferred.
• You are able to multitask a variety of projects, and pay attention to the details – all while
keeping a positive attitude!
• Excellent organization, coordination, and prioritization skills.
• A creative attitude towards problem solving.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
