The project, which was awarded by Gabon’s Ministry of Oil, Energy and Hydraulic Resources (MPERH), will be built by ACCIONA’s water and infrastructure divisions near the city of Ntoum. The new drinking water treatment plant will increase the storage capacity and availability of fresh water for Gabon’s capital Libreville and the surrounding region. The DWTP will have a daily production capacity of 140 000 m 3 of drinking water, using four treatment lines. The Ntoum DWTP is ACCIONA Agua’s first contract in Gabon. ACCIONA’s infrastructure division, however, has had a presence in the country since 1977, and has an office in Libreville. Nubian and Nirosoft partner in Australia A ustralia’s Nubian Water Systems has entered into a strategic partnership with global water treatment solutions provider Nirosoft. The partnership is part of Nubian’s strategy to build a facility-centric, end-to-end water solutions company in Australia that will drive water balance and reduce Australia’s water footprint. Nirosoft, an RWL Water Group company, specialises in the design, manufacture and operation of advanced water treatment systems. Nirosoft’s membrane technology is also used to create ultrapure water for the food and beverage, electrical and pharmaceutical sectors. Nirosoft CEO Avi Bonibay said: “We are in the business of providing advanced water treatment solutions wherever they are needed. Nirosoft is focused on creating a global water business that will meet the growing need for clean water. We feel the best way to bring our solutions to the Australian market is to partner with a local company that has the same ideals and objectives as Nirosoft. It is clear to us that, not only is Nubian a leader in providing innovative solutions to the Australian market, the company is also committed to providing water wherever it is needed.” BluMetric reverse osmosis system to treat industrial water in Peru B luMetric Environmental Inc has won a US$1.38 million contract to supply a reverse osmosis system to deliver high-quality process water at a new facility for an industrial chemicals producer in Peru. The BluMetric reverse osmosis system will provide up to three million litres per day of processed water, helping to ensure reliable production and product quality. Cross-flow membrane market to exceed US$10.4bn S ales of cross-flow membranes and equipment will exceed US$10.4 billion in 2014, according to the latest projections in RO, UF, MF World Market published by the McIlvaine Co. According to McIlvaine, microfiltration is edging out granular media filters as a method for purifying water for drinking purposes. A process for combining membrane filtration and biological treatment in one vessel is also being widely used. Acciona Agua to build Gabon’s largest drinking water plant

ACCIONA has secured a E50 million contract to design and

Nubian and Nirosoft partner in Australia

Australia’s Nubian Water Systems has entered into a

strategic partnership with global water treatment solutions provider Nirosoft.

The partnership is part of Nubian’s strategy to build a facility-centric, end-to-end water solutions company in Australia that will drive water balance and reduce Australia’s water footprint.

BluMetric reverse osmosis system to treat industrial water in Peru

BluMetric Environmental Inc has won a US$1.38 million contract
