Known Problem Wiley do not retain your Athens details. You will need to login again if you are linking thru to an article or

the journal page.

Wiley have not activated article level access from the NHS resources HDAS (Healthcare databases

advanced search) or the NHS Journals A-Z list. Thus once you have logged in to Wiley it will have lost

the information (article or journal page) you had already selected.

Access journals via publisher / platform from the NHS Journals A-Z List.

When you are looking for a journal title you should always start at the NHS Journals A-Z list in order to

identify the publisher / platform / database where we subscribe to the journal title.

1. Start at the Journals page on the Health Library website.

2. Go to the NHS Journals A-Z List by clicking the NHS Journals link.

3. Login with your NHS Athens username and password.

Click either the OpenAthens link at the top right-hand corner or via the OpenAthens link in the

yellow box.

4. Search for the journal title that you require.

5. Click the publisher / platform link for the journal title.

Example Journal Title Here is an example of a Wiley Online Library journal title on the NHS Journal list:

Login Click the “Log in” option in the top right-hand corner

Click the “Institutional Login” link in the login options box..

Type “Health Library for North Staffordshire” in the box for the Institution Name. You will be

prompted with our entry. Select this entry and click “Log in”.

You may be presented with the NHS Athens login screen; enter your NHS Athens username and

password.

OR

You may be automatically logged in.

You will be dumped on the Wiley Online home page. This does not mean that you have been prevented

from accessing the article / journal that you need.

To return to the article or journal page you were looking at either:

Go back to the window with the NHS Journals A-Z list and click again on the article / journal link or follow

the instructions below.

Find a Journal To find a journal on the Wiley Online Library from the home page:

Click the “Publications” option on the top menu bar.

You will be presented with a list of all the titles on the Wiley Online Library.

Enter the title of the Journal you are looking for in the Search box on the right-hand-side and click the

arrow button.

The results of your search will be presented to you. Click the journal title link to go to the journal page.

From the journal page you will be able to:

View the current issue

View all issues

Search within the journal

Get new content alerts to your inbox

Get the RSS Feed

View Issues To locate a particular article that you need you can either:

Enter the title of the article you need in the Search box (top right-hand-side) and click the arrow.

OR

Browse for the issue the article is located in by clicking the “All Issues” link in the left-hand-side journal

menu.

The All Issues page will show you a list of Volumes. Click the volume link that you need to view the

individual issues.

Click the issue link to view the articles that have been published.

View Articles Click the article title link to see all the bibliographic information about the article:
