Course ObjectivesThe course is designed to develop your knowledge and understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). You will also learn how to apply them, as well as the concepts and principles which underpin them.

able to:understand and explain the structure of the
framework of international accountingapply relevant financial reporting standards to
key elements of financial reportsidentify and apply disclosure requirements for
companies in financial reports and notesprepare group financial statements (excluding
group cash-flow statements) including subsidiaries, associates and joint ventures

Who is the DipIFR Qualification for?If you are a professional accountant or auditor who works in practice or business, and are qualified according to national accounting standards (ICAN or ANAN), then you are eligible to take this ACCA financial reporting qualification.

Who is Qualification for?If you are working in practice, but not yet qualified, then you may still be eligible. You will need to prove that you have one of the following:
1. three years' relevant accounting experience (by submitting a letter from your employer)
2. a relevant degree plus two years' work experience
3. an ACCA Certificate in International Financial Reporting plus two years' work experience.

How it works?The Diploma in International Financial Reporting (DipIFR)
can be studied to fit your studies around your work and social commitments.
OUR TRAINING PROGRAMMEA structured 3-week training course to assist you obtain the ACCA Diploma in IFRS as well as gain in-depth knowl-edge of the preparation of IFRS compliant financial statements.
StructureThe classes would be conducted every Saturday and Sun-day from 8am – 6pm.
The diploma can be completed in three to six months de-pending on your commitment.

Course DetailsExamsThe Diploma in International Financial
Reporting (DipIFR) is assessed by a single three-hour written exam. You will need to achieve a 50 per cent mark or above to PASS the paper. The exam is held twice a year - in June and December at ACCA's exam centres.

Course Details (Contd.)There are two sections to the paper which
requires a mix of calculations and written answers. The assessment marks are split as follows:
MarksSection A - One 'groups' question = 40Section B - Three scenario questions= 60

Financial Reporting (DipIFR) at any time, but if you want to sit the December 2013 exams, we will need to receive your registration form and copies of all your supporting documents on/before August 31, 2013.
The deadline for receipt of application and documentation at the ACCA UK office is:8 October 2013 for the December 2013 exam
session

About the TutorAYODELE, Samuel O., B.Sc (Hons), ACA, ACCA, ACS, DipIFR,MSI
Holds the ACCA Diploma in International Financial Reporting Holds a First Class Honours Degree in Accounting Associate Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS) of Nigeria. Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), U.K. He is a multiple ACCA Nigeria prize winner including being the best qualifying ACCA
student in Nigeria for the June/December 2007 examination sessions. He earned his ACCA Diploma in IFRS in 2007 and has delivered several presentations on
IFRS. He has over eleven (11) years of professional experience covering IT, Audit and Invest-
ment Advisory. He has also lectured several ACCA/ICAN courses in the past six (6) years. Samuel currently works as Head of Contributions with a Pension Fund Administrator
after having worked as Head of Finance in the same organisation. Samuel is a Level II candidate of the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) Institute’s CFA
program.
