Sessionswillrunfrom8:30a.m.to4:30p.m.,exceptfortheopeningandclosingssessiondays,whicharelikelytostartandendonehourlater.TherewillalsobeworkbetweensessionsthatFellowswilldoindividuallyandwiththeircohorts,includingonetopicthateachcohortwilladdressindependently,withthedatesdeterminedbyeachcohort.A360assessmentandinitialcoachingsessionwillbecompletedoverthesummerprecedingthestartoftheClassof2019sessions.Howareclassesstructured?Eachsessionwillbehighlyinteractive,teachingskillsthroughavarietyofapproachesincludingsimulation;role-playandmodeling;collaborationandexchangeofbestpractices;dialoguewithexpertsfromanarrayoffields;casestudies;andothercohortandpersonalexercises.

Therewillbeaclassofapproximately30participants–knownasFellows–selectedfromavarietyofindustriesandorganizationsfromacrosstheNationalCapitalRegion.EachFellowwillalsocollaboratewithasmallerworkinggroup(“cohort”)tooptimizelearningandsupportoneanother’sprofessionalgrowthanddevelopment.In-depthclassdiscussionswillbeledbyfacultychosenfortheirexpertiseinleadershipandtheirabilitytotranslateconceptsintopracticaltakeaways.Betweensessions,Fellowswillbeexpectedtoread,engageinpersonalreflectionandcompletespecificexerciseswiththeircohort.Whoiseligibletoapply?Inordertoparticipate,youmusthave:

• Practicedlawforaminimumofsevenyears,• Practicedin-houseforaminimumtotwoyears,and• Demonstratedleadershipcapabilities.

PreferencewillbegiventocurrentACCNCRmembers.Ifyoucurrentlyarenotamember,youcanjoinbyclickinghere.Ifyouareanon-memberatthetimeofselection,yourtuitionwillbeadjustedtoincludeayear'smembershipinACCandACCNCR.WeseekFellowsfromabroadrangeofindustriesandnon-profitorganizations,aswellasamixoflargeandsmalllegaldepartments,tooptimizetheopportunityforyoutolearnfromoneanother,bothintheclassroomandinsmallercohortsettings.Nomorethantwo(2)FellowsfromanysingleemployerwillbeacceptedfortheClassof2019.Whatdoesitcost?TuitionforClassof2019Fellowswillbe$4,950forACCNCRmembersand$5,335fornon-members(whichincludesoneyearofmembershipinACCandACCNCR).Tuitionincludesa360assessment,twocoachingsessionsandafull-yearsubscriptiontotheHarvardBusinessReview.
