Course Information

The program is divided into 4 sections throughout the 12 weeks. Each section includes a written test given online and a clinical hands-on assessment given in our facility. The written tests are multiple choice and come directly from the chapters in the book and are to be completed online by the due date listed on the course outline. The clinical hands-on assessments are given in class from what we have practiced while in class.

You must obtain a 75% or better on each written test to pass. The Clinical hands-on assessments are critiqued, not graded.

In addition to attending class, the student will need to spend approximately 6-8 hours outside of class to complete their readings, homework, and tests. Most assigned homework will be from your Workbook. Each Section's Workbook Homework is due and collected by teacher on that Section's Test Day (see modules above). Be sure to bring both books to class each week. Be sure to View Videos on Evolve.com as listed in Course Outline above and Print and bring to class the Section 1 Handouts for the first day of class.

One module is completed per 3 hours. If you are in the 9:00am – 4:00pm class, we will complete 1 module in the morning and a second module in the afternoon. If you are in the 6:00pm – 9:30pm class you will complete 1 module per night.

The books for the class need to be purchased at any bookstore or online before the start of class. Currently we are using Torres and Ehrlich Modern Dental Assisting 12th Ed Bird Robinson Book, Workbook. It's your option to purchase a new or used book and where to purchase the books: Amazon, Ebay, Barnes & Noble, etc. or we sell the books in our facility.
