FOREWORD
Due to the situation by the pandemic COVID-19 worldwide, the schools recognized by the
Board for classes IX & X are closed from the last week of March, 2020 till date. A good number of
teaching days are lost. The Board in collaboration with Directorate of Education (S), Manipur and
Samagra Shiksha, Manipur is putting the best efforts to compensate the loss of the teaching days.
Considering the above, the Board took the decision of revising the Syllabus and
Curriculum for classes IX & X by organizing meetings and workshops in phase wise manner. The
Board approved the recommendations of the workshop in the Curriculum and Syllabus
Committee meeting vide Resolution No. 2 held on 10/08/2020 and also approved the same by
Secretariat, Education (S) Department, Govt. of Manipur vide order no. 39/3/2015-SE(S) BOSEM,
dated 02/09/2020. The revised Syllabus and Curriculum for classes IX & X for the academic year,
2020-21 is published herewith. The internal assessment of 20 marks will be based on the revised
syllabus.
