About Us:Sree Sankara National Institute of Education Trust, which runs the
college, was established in 2006, by a group of renowned, socialworkers with a vision to promote the welfare of weakersections of thesociety. Sree Krishna College of Pharmacy& Research Centre, Parassala issituated along side of NH 47high way on Trivandrum –Kanyakumariroute, 150 meters from Parassala railway station, 1kmfrom Parassalajunction and 28 km from Trivandrum city. It possesses permanentspaciousacademic building with all amenities and infrastructuresprawling over area of 5 acres. Thebuilding has spacious class rooms,full-fledged library with internet facility, well equippedlaboratories, amodern computer center with global communication facility, an audiovisual center, laboratory animal facility and medicinal garden .Ourdedicated team of experienced and diligentfaculty has high standard ofacademic excellence.

Message from ChairmanThe Sree Krishna College of Pharmacy& Research Centre plays a distinctiverole in the academic and professionalevolution of the Pharmaceuticalprofessions. As the need of societyand profession changed the collegepioneered new programme to betterprepare future pharmacists for anexpanded role in the health care profession.
SKCPRC developed the Kerala’s first doctor of Pharmacy degreeprogramme in 2010 and we were one among first college of pharmacyto establish a clinical curriculum. Those were radical advances at timebut are now considered the foundation of training for all pharmaciststhroughout India.Over a span of 10 years, SKCPRC emerged as one ofthe leading and fast growing institution in southern India. Our collegeaffords the students with a unique environment of professionalism andopens the doors for clinical opportunities immediately on campus.

RULES & REGULATIONS
Discipline Students will have to attend all theory and laboratory hours
regularly during working days (9.30 A.M to 4.15 P.M) from thefirst day of the Academic Year
Absence from class due to any valid reason must be rectified, bysubmitting leave application
Late comers without permission will not be allowed to attend theclasses
Students are not allowed to go out of the campus withoutpermission from the principal & staff adviser during working hours
Students must carry their own identity card and produce it ondemand. In case of loss or damage the concerned authorityshould be informed immediately
Uniform prescribed by the college authority is compulsory Ragging of students in any form within or outside the college and
hostels is strictly prohibited. Any students found engaged in suchactivities will be dealt with anti- ragging rules.
Students are not allowed to indulge in any kind of misconduct orindiscipline within or outside the campus.
Use of cell phones by the students with in the college campus andin the hostel is prohibited (as per the direction of Hon. High Courtof Kerala).
Students will be responsible for all equipment and property of theinstitution entrusted to them, cost of such damage will berecovered from students, parents or guardian of the students.

Attendance
The students will not be allowed to write university examination,
if they don’t procure 80% attendance in theory and practical
separately as per university regulations.
Hostel
Absolute self-discipline must be maintained.
Breaking of hostel rules shall render the offender liable to fine or
suspension for definite period.
Smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages, chewing pan masala,
guthka etc. in campus & hostel are strictly prohibited.
Any damage to the hostel property shall be repaired at the cost of
inmates. If offender is not identified the members of that room
shall collectively bear the cost of repair / or replacement with
procurement charges.

Library Rules & Regulations The College Library is open to all students and staff of the College. Library will be open from 9A.M to 5 P.M on all working days. Two borrower tickets will be issued for each student, for
borrowing/ procuring books from the library. Two books can be borrowed at a time for a period of two weeks.
Books can be renewed for a period of one week if there is nodemand for the book.
An overdue charge will be imposed if books are not returnedwithin the due date.
Students should not write, underline, mark up or cause anydamage to any book in the library.
Students will be responsible for loss or damage to books issued tothem. They will have to pay, five times the cost of the book if it islost or damaged.
Students on receiving the books at the counter must report anydamage in the book to the librarian before they leave. Failure todo so will render them liable for any damage that may bedetected afterwards.
Students shall not sub- lend books to others. Strict silence should be maintained in the library. Violation of the
rule may lead to the forfeiture of the privilege of using library.

Other Facilities:
Laboratory:
All the laboratories are equipped with modular and functionalworkspace integrating the student needs like water, electricity and gas.The laboratories are designed with the safety features imbibed in theinfrastructure resulting in an excellent ambience and atmosphere foracademic and research work. The laboratories are well designed withseparate preparation room and instrument room as per the curriculumrequirements laid down by the apex bodies.
Sports:
To provide outdoor physical education facilities such as cricket, volleyball & basketball court, badminton, sports equipment, etc. for students.
Animal House:
The institution has an animal house which was established in December23, 2011 and at present it contains ten mice, eight rats and two rabbits.
Medicinal Garden:
The institution has 100 species of rare medicinal plants which can bedeveloped and cultivated in the future for research purpose.

Drug Information Centre:
SKCPRC has Drug Information Centre to provide authenticindividualized, accurate, relevant and unbiased drug information to thecustomers and healthcare professionals regarding medication relatedinquiries to the patients, public and students for health care and drugsafety aspects by prompt answering their inquiries regarding to allcritical problems on drug information.
Rain water harvesting:
The water needs for the hostels, laboratories, landscape andconsumption are met through the effective use of ground waterresources within the campus, rain water harvest processes effective forgardening and other similar purposes.

Student Support Services
1. Placement & Counseling:Placement cell plays an important role in placement of students.
They provide services of facilitating campus interview. The Placementcell of the college is involved in inviting experts from the industry tointeract with staff and students and update them with the latestdevelopments and requirements of the Pharmaceutical Industry.
2. Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women
The institution has anti-ragging committee & Women’s Cell periodicalmeeting is conducted by the chairman of committee. The name andphone numbers of the members of anti-ragging committee are

displayed on posters during their orientation day, so that students canreach through mobile any members of anti-ragging committee.
3. Academic & Personal Counseling:College will assess the students’ knowledge and skills based on
result of previous examination and personal counseling beforecommencement of academic schedule. Feedbacks are collected fromstudents and analyzed in counseling meeting, open session and instaff meeting also.
4. Value Added CoursesThe value added programs include integrated seminars with
the participation of the B.Pharm students (second to final year), M.Pharm students and Pharm. D Students. Other activities likeworkshop, Placement activities through campus and other thancampus recruitment, Industrial visits and training, Training on soft skillimprovement and Improvement of communication skill and language,are arranged for a multipronged development of the students.
5. Students WelfareBeing a self-financed Institute, the source of resource is fees
collected from the students, funds generated from consultancyservices and grants received for research projects. Welfarescholarships are achieved for eligible students.
