1ST VICE PRESIDENTS’ REPORT: !

Acacia Quilt Guild Tea and Auction

The Acacia Quilt Guild Tea and Auction is scheduled for April 25, 2015. This bi-annual event is the main fund raiser for our guild. It provides the financing for activi-ties for the following two years. The theme for this event is “The Mad Hatter Tea Party.” As you can imag-ine, it will take lots of volunteers to make this event a success. Bar-bara Mead and I will be asking for lots of help and we hope that all of you will participate. It is time to be thinking of the projects you will make and donate – everything from quilts, wall hanging, table runners, etc. These items are needed for the live auction, silent auction and boutique. We have a form that needs to be filled out for each item that is donated. Please see one of us for these forms. !Our main goal at this time is to obtain volunteers for the different committees. They are listed below. Some of these committees need to start planning soon. Sign-up sheets will be available at the General Meeting in August. If you have any question, please contact me. Thanks in advance for your help. !

!!!Membership!!At the July meeting of Acacia Quilt Guild there were 28 members present and 4 guests. Two of the guests joined our ranks. They are Frannie Donoghue and Sally Ketler.!!I would like to invite anyone who wishes to, to sit with me at the membership table. Things run much smoother if there are at least 2 people at the table. This is a great way to get to know names and faces. !!Phyllis Victor

****Sign-In Reminder****!

Please remember to sign-in when attending the Acacia Quilt Guild General Meeting. This gives the guild an accurate picture of our at-tendance. It is also used for the fat quarter bonuses that members can receive. This information is also used by the senior center, par-ticularly in case of an emergency. In the event of a major earthquake or disaster and the building collapses the center needs to know who was in the building. Thank you for your cooperation.
