ABSTRACT. Improper deposition and disposition of remains that has been left by the great economic production of the locality of Usaquen, generates a negative impact on the natural course of water supplies, such as La Cita and San Cristobal creeks; this not only endangers the vegetation and the animal species of the water bodies and its surroundings, but also threatens the health of nearby residents (especially inhabitants of strata 1-3), who are exposed to multiple types of pests and diseases caused by the decomposition of food and the bad administration given to the multiple types of remains proceeding from the tourist industrial and commercial areas. This research is carried out taking into account that the environmental situation of the locality of Usaquen is being threatened by the lack of awareness and culture of its inhabitants, and it is necessary to start an educational process that reaches institutions and population (migrant and resident) involved: people who work together for environmental development and sustainable economic development. The study of the interaction of different socio-economic strata, allowed us to distinguish who are the harmed and who are those who cause the damage. Therefore, it was established that people in situation of economic disadvantage (strata1-3) are those who are supporting all types of deterioration to the environment, which affects their health, their job, and family, social and economic environment. This causes an environmental imbalance in the locality since the largest population of Usaquen is made up of these strata. In addition, it was determined that many of the problems that Usaquen is going through fall upon the high strata (4-6); with their big industries and lack of environmental awareness, they deposit large amounts of waste without the proper process of separation in the source. This creates a problem where a possible near solution cannot be seen. KEY WORDS: Deposition, Disposition, strata, Culture, Awareness, Institutions.

ABSTRACT.

Improper deposition and disposition of remains that has been left by the great

economic production of the locality of Usaquen, generates a negative impact on

the natural course of water supplies, such as La Cita and San Cristobal creeks;

this not only endangers the vegetation and the animal species of the water

bodies and its surroundings, but also threatens the health of nearby residents

(especially inhabitants of strata 1-3), who are exposed to multiple types of pests

and diseases caused by the decomposition of food and the bad administration

given to the multiple types of remains proceeding from the tourist industrial and

commercial areas. This research is carried out taking into account that the

environmental situation of the locality of Usaquen is being threatened by the lack

of awareness and culture of its inhabitants, and it is necessary to start an

educational process that reaches institutions and population (migrant and

resident) involved: people who work together for environmental development and

sustainable economic development. The study of the interaction of different

socio-economic strata, allowed us to distinguish who are the harmed and who

are those who cause the damage. Therefore, it was established that people in

situation of economic disadvantage (strata1-3) are those who are supporting all

types of deterioration to the environment, which affects their health, their job, and

family, social and economic environment. This causes an environmental

imbalance in the locality since the largest population of Usaquen is made up of

these strata. In addition, it was determined that many of the problems that

Usaquen is going through fall upon the high strata (4-6); with their big industries

and lack of environmental awareness, they deposit large amounts of waste

without the proper process of separation in the source. This creates a problem

where a possible near solution cannot be seen.
