Abstract The research was titled “Style of Communication at secondary level teachers of Augusto B. Leguia High School in Puente Piedra, district of Lima City, 2015”. The development of this research aims to publicize the predominant style communication between teacher-student at the secondary level of the school in question it has been the general objective: To establish communication style predominant presenting teachers with secondary students of Augusto B. Leguia High School in Puente Piedra, district of Lima City, 2015. The methodology used for the preparation of this thesis was related to the quantitative approach. It is a substantial basic research at the descriptive level. The research design was the simple descriptive. Population was 50 students and the sample was the same for secondary level students of "Augusto B. Leguía" High School - Puente Piedra, Lima, 2015. The formal evaluation technique was used, which was used as instrument the checklist. This research includes the styles that are currently displayed in the educational process in educational institutions so is considered permissive, authoritarian and democratic style, being chiefly of interest in this thesis analyze which one is the one that is determined to be the level of communication presents secondary level teachers in the "Augusto B. Leguía " High School - Puente Piedra district

Legua " High School - Puente Piedra districtRegarding communication styles in teaching at the secondary level, it is evident that the style most predominant communicative practice of teachers is authoritarian with 68%, while the democratic style is the least practiced with 56% in the low level and the permissive style reaching 60% average.

Communication styles can be varied and show personality quirks. It is important for the teacher to achieve a communication style according to the various modes of communication present in the classroom, should be able to self analyze and recognize the negative and positive aspects, change that threaten the good development of communication and enrich it the favor, raising awareness and improving the ethical character of their relations, but to achieve this it is necessary to have knowledge about and love for the profession and wishes to cooperate with the educational system.
