Industrial Blue Laser Sources
The unique AOTM laser product line of NUBURU™ includes fi ber-coupled high-power blue lasers with a wavelength of 450 nm and output power levels of 150 W and 500 W.
The key for high throughput and production effi ciency is absorption. Compared to industry-standard IR lasers, blue ab-sorption is 3 to 20 times higher. This in turn means that proces-sing speeds are increased by 2 to 10 times. The wavelength of 450 nm provides a signifi cantly better spot focus to compara-ble IR or even green lasers.
Industry-standard lasers in material processing, including infra-red fi ber lasers, are limited in regards to speed, resolution, and quality. The new high-power blue NUBURUTM lasers disrupt existing applications and enable new ones where materials and objects have to be melted, fused, illuminated, and cut. The ap-plications range from aviation, automotive industry, medical engineering, jewelry industry to electromobility. These lasers create new possibilities that have not been applicable with
previous laser technologies. In addition, the AOTM lasers are characterized by low energy consumption compared to existing DPSS lasers. Considering operating costs and return on investment, the results ensure substantially shorter amortization times.
Advantages
• AOTM series provides the market’s highest fluences (laser power densities) for blue lasers
• Blue dramatically improves process performance and process windows
• Blue wavelength is superior to green even at equal power
• True cw laser
• Physics dictates energy absorption efficiency: blue is 3 - 20 times better than standard IR wavelength• Thus blue enables process speeds 2 - 10 times faster• Dramatically improves process performance and process windows• Enables welding processes that have not been possible or only with IR but low yield
