Our chalet staff are carefully chosen for both their maturity and ability to produce high quality varied menus. To help you through the day a substantial breakfast is served from 07:30 through to 09:30 each morning. To welcome you home after a hard day on the slopes will be afternoon tea – homemade cakes, biscuits, bread, jams, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. During the evening a four course evening meal is served with good quality table wine. Our chalet chefs are happy to cater for most special diets – but please do try and let us know any dietary requirements when you make your booking.

SKI hOSTINg.We offer a comprehensive ski hosting service in both Morzine and Les Menuires. Our ski hosts are mature experienced skiers who know the ski area well. They know how to avoid any lift queues, where the best snow is and the best restaurants are. Ski hosting is for intermediate and above skiers who really want to make the most of these two vast ski areas

AIRpORT TRANSfERSMorzine is between 1 and 1 ½ hours from Geneva Airport. Les Menuires is between 2 and 2 ½ hours from Geneva and just 1 ½ hours from Chambery Airport.

Where ever possible we schedule transfers to depart from the airport as soon as possible after your flight has landed. If ever there is a wait required at the airport for the transfer we would let you know in good time. All our transfers are undertaken in either our own minibuses or with carefully vetted local third party transfer companies.

For the ultimate in flexibility we can offer car hire instead of transfers. By using our partners Holiday Auto, we can offer competitive car hire quotes for our clients.

Morzine is a beauti ful Haute-Savoyard vi l lage 45 miles south east of Geneva in the heart of the world’s largest Internat ional Ski Area – The Portes du Solei l .

I t was in 1934 that Morz ien bui l t the Pleney Cable Car. Avor iaz as a resort was developed in the 1960’s and th is led to the l ink ing up of Avor iaz wi th Les Crosets which establ ished the Portes du Sole i l .

Now there are over 240 modern sk i l i f ts and 650kms of marked piste wi th acres of of f p iste, much of which remains untracked days af ter snowfal l . This fabulous sk i and snowboard area connects 13 v i l lages which st raddle the French Swiss Border. These including Morz ine, Avor iaz and Chatel .

INSTRUCTIONThere are a number of ski schools in Morzine. By far the best though is The Avoriaz Alpine Ski School. Run by Ian McKellar (ex British Ski Team freestyle skiier) they offer group courses for skiing and snowboarding for all levels.

Standard tuition packages incl. ski hire and lift passes can be booked via Absolutely Snow. All other courses, private lessons and clinics can be booked direct at www.avoriazalpineskischool.com or 01237 451099.

TRANSpORTBY AIR Morzine is ideally situated for short transfers being just over 1 hour (45 miles) from Geneva Airport – perfect for short breaks and families travelling with children. We offer a pre-booked transfer service. Where ever possible we schedule transfers to depart from the airport as soon as possible after your flight has landed. Transfer times are below:

BY RAIL The nearest train station to Morzine is Thonon-les-Bains, 15 miles away, or Cluses, 20 miles away.

BY ROAD Morzine is approximately 560 miles from Calais via Reims. Dijon and Geneva.

INSTRUCTIONLes Menuires has a choice of ski schools. The ESF (Ecole de Ski Francais) has over 200 instructors offering group lessons of 2 ½ hours each day for both adults and children.

Ecole de Ski Prosneige is a small professional ski school in Les Menuires. All instructors speak excellent English and they limit thier group size to a maximum of 10 skiers per instructor. You pay a little more but the small class sizes do pay dividends.

TRANSpORTBY AIR Les Menuires is serviced by 4 airports: Geneva, Chambery, Lyon & Grenoble. There are many routes availble from the UK. Below are the average transfer times between airport and resort.

BY RAIL There is a mainline station in Moutiers just 27km away from les Menuires and the new ski train serves Bourg St Maurice which is around 45 km away from Les Menuires.

BY ROAD For those who wish to self drive or hire a car we do have plenty of open air parking.

LIfT pASSESThere are 3 different ski passes available. The St Martin Valley including Val Thorens and the massive 3 Vallees pass.

The balance of your hol iday needs to be paid at least 8 weeks before your hol iday commences. I f the balance of your hol iday has not been

received by th is t ime, Absolute ly Snow reserves the r ight to cancel your booking.

CANCELLATION

1. I f you decide to cancel your hol iday af ter a booking has been made, you must advise Absolute ly Snow immediate ly in wr i t ing. The date that you ef fect your cancel lat ion is the date that Absolute ly Snow receives your wr i t ten not i f icat ion of cancel lat ion. The fo l lowing cancel lat ion charges wi l l apply:
