About Ms O’Dea Ms O’Dea has been an advocate for tutoring English. A Director of Poetry, a dancer, an actress. She is a Published Author and a violinist. Theresa is also a qualified Astrologer and Cosmobiologist. Her theories and concepts on Astrology have been published in many magazines over the years. She has performed in many stage plays, as well as being read on National Radio. In 1992, Theresa was published in an Anthology Of Past and Present Australian Female Poets in ‘The Whirling Spindle’. In 1999 to 2004 Theresa was on the ‘Preliminary Reading Panel’ for the Glen Eira Literary Awards’. Theresa was placed as a member of the Australian Performing Right Association Limited APRA/AMCOS in 2004. In 2005 she was accepted as a Full Member into ‘The Australian Society of Authors’.
From 2004 until 2007 she performed with her band on the ‘Russ Kellets Melbourne’ Music Show on Channel 31.

In 2006, she was awarded a trophy and medal for her work as an outstanding achievement in poetry worldwide. In 2007 she was upgraded from member to full member from the APRA/AMCOS association. Theresa was selected in 2007 in the ‘The International Who’s Who In Poetry’ in The International Library Of Poetry as a compilation.She released her first video clips in 2007 with two songs ‘Perfect Stranger’
and ‘Farewell To A cigarette’ video clips produced by Russ Kellet.She has performed her poetry at Federation Square in Melbourne Victoria,
Australia.
Relics of Ms O’Dea’s memoirs have been placed in ‘The Museum of Victoria’ Australia. In these memoirs were her wedding dress and wedding rings, along with a few other little mysteries.In 2007 she became a CFA fire fighter Volunteer but at present, has had to sit on the backbench as her commitment to her work as an author has become time consuming. In 2007 she obtained her Security Guard Licence, but was unable to pursue that career because it meant leaving her then 10 year old son at home alone at night in which she was not going to do. In 2010 she was certificated membership ‘Author Member of Copyright Agency Limited’ In 2011 Theresa was nominated into ‘The Walk of Fame’ in the Artistic Ventures in recognition of significant contribution to the community for her poetry. On the 26 January 2012 Ms O’Dea was nominated for ‘Citizen Of The Year’ for the Mornington Peninsula Shire’s 2012 Australia Day Local Awards. For her effects and achievements in contribution to the community through literature.

In March 2012 Ms O’Dea released her 16th book. This book is on Domestic Violence and its long term effects on those who are subjected to this sort of behavior,
On Australia Day- Ms O’Dea ran in the Mornington Peninsula Fun Run 2013 for the 1st
time ever. Publicized in the ‘Peninsula Western Port Weekly(front Page) and middle pages.
Published another poetry book in 2013 on Breast and Skin Cancer and raising for the ‘Cancer Council Victoria’. On 13th July 2013 at beaches of mornington, mornington 3913.
August 2013- Became a loyal volunteer for ‘SEAWINDS COMMUNITY HUB’ in Rosebud.
Started up ‘HOPEISHOPE11’ on 13th November 13 – Preventing violence against women’ which is a group, telephone and internet therapeutic analysis. to help women who are damaged and still are suffering from long term domestic violence and sexual abuse perpetrated upon them.
Ran in The Rosebud Fun Run Australia Day on 26th January 2014 for ‘HOPE’ violence against women and Alien Fitness in Rosebud supported this organization along with three teenage girls.
10th February 14 obtained cert 4 certificate in Mental Health .
Ms O’Dea has been a trusted servant of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous since 1975.
She has helped a lot of people towards recovery and a better way of living a positive life.

11th May 14 Ran in the 4km run for ‘Mothers Day Classic’ prevent breast cancer. From Dromana Pier to Mc Crae Lighthouse.
Astrologer for the ‘Rosebud Ripple’ newspaper. Starting in May 2014.
Up to date Theresa will be releasing in March 2015, an anthology of poetry for the ‘Luke Batty Foundation’ and the ‘Forgetmenortfoundation’.
Theresa has had life’s experiences with Domestic Violence and managing to bring up three beautiful children as a single mother. She has had to deal with her mental welfare in society to the best of her ability. Unfortunately, in the court system, mental health needs to be viewed from a different perspective rather than condemning societies marginal points of what the standard homosapiens social factors are.
WE NEED TO LOOK AT THE WORLD THAT WE LIVE IN.
Over the years, Theresa has always stayed in touched and has being a participant in receiving help from the government organizations. Although, human nature can be complicated, there is always room for improvement in relation to this fact and that goes for government theories and convectional morals and values.
