The proprietary MaxSignal® Malachite Green/Leucomalachite Green ELISA Kit is an ELISA designed for routine screening of Malachite Green/Leuco-malachite Green in fish, shrimp, fish and shrimp feed, fish oil and water samples. This kit offers a rapid, 96-well high throughput quantitative assay. In fish, chromatic MG is rapidly bioconverted into colorless LMG. The MaxSignal Malachite Green/Leucomalachite Green ELISA Kit functions by converting leucomalachite green (LMG) to malachite green for detection.

The MaxSignal Malachite Green/Leucomalachite Green ELISA has been added to the USDA’s Chemistry Laboratory Guidebook as the only method that it recommends for the screening of fish samples for malachite green contamination (Method #R44a, Screening for Malachite Green and Crystal Violet by ELISA).

MaxSignal® Fluoroquinolone ELISA Test Kit

Bioo Scientific offers two different MaxSignal® Fluoroquinolone ELISA Kits. Cat # 1024-06 is ideal for the detection of fluoroquinolone in fish, shrimp and meat samples. This kit uses enrofloxacin standards (0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, 0.8 ppb). Cat # 1024-02 can be used to detect fluoroquinolone in honey samples with a detection limit of 2.5 ppb. This kit offers norfloxacin standards (0/2.5/7.5/20/50/150 ppb).

Sulfonamides are widely used as feed additives, mainly for fattening of calves and pigs. Sulfonamides are also used in veterinary medicine for the treatment of intestinal infections, mastitis, and other diseases. Sulfonamide residues may therefore occur in food of animal origin. According to the US FDA and EU law, the maximum residue limit for all substances of the sulfonamide-group are 100 ppb in muscle, fat, liver and kidney, and 100 ppb in milk.

The MaxSignal® Nitrate/Nitrite Assay Kit is a cuvette-based enzymatic assay for the determination of nitrate and/or nitrite across a variety of food samples.

MaxSignal® Urea Assay Kit

The MaxSignal® Urea Assay Kit uses a coupled enzymatic reaction scheme to detect urea in food samples. The assay measures the concentration of urea using the urease enzyme which converts urea to ammonia. The ammonia produced by this reaction is then used as a substrate by the enzyme glutamate dehydrogenase to make glutamate. In the process, NADH is stoichiometrically converted to NAD+. This conversion, measured at 340 nm, is proportional to the level of urea in the sample.

MaxSignal® 4302 Microplate Reader

The MaxSignal® 4302 Plate Reader is a versatile microplate absorbance reader for 96-well plates, providing all the functionality needed for numerous laboratory applications while offering great performance and value. The MaxSignal 4302 Microplate Reader is a compact, PC-controlled, multi-purpose photometer system designed to read and calculate the results of assays. It accepts all standard microplates. Trays containing microstrips may also be read whether they are 12 wells in length, 8 wells or partial strips. The compact space saving design makes it ideal for stand-alone use. The MaxSignal 4302 Microplate Reader offers a user-programmable open system with selectable plate formatting, alphanumeric test naming, automatic interpretation options, duplicate well options, curve plotting and editing, flags, and error messages from which the user can create a menu of pre-programmed assays for instant recall. MaxSignal® Automated ELISA Station

The MaxSignal® Automated ELISA Station is the perfect companion to the MaxSignal® food and feed safety ELISA kits. This instrument combines a liquid dispenser with an absorbance plate reader for automation of your ELISA assays. Recipe files for many of the MaxSignal kits are already available, and additional recipes can be rapidly developed by request. The system is also open for customers to develop their own recipes for a wide range of applications. This instrument features precise pipetting of low volumes, and includes an incubator for controlling temperatures for your 37°C reagents. Windows-based software is used for setting up assays and for performing quality control. The system handles up to 96 samples at once. It is an excellent solution for your high-throughput ELISA needs.

QuickSTAR™ Strip Reader

The QuickSTAR™ Strip Reader is a patented ruggedized handheld lateral flow testing system that provides rapid quantitative assay results and increases testing throughput and efficiency. The unit features a rechargeable lithium battery, a color touchscreen menu driven interface, and provides test results in less than 5 seconds. The unit is compatible with a wide array of pre-programmed test types and is software upgradable to accommodate additional assays. The QuickSTAR™ Kit includes the handheld device, a USB sync cable, and user-friendly QuickSTAR Data Management Software Suite for easy viewing, printing, archiving, and exporting of test results. This Strip Reader has been approved for use with all of Bioo Scientific’s AuroFlow™ Strip Tests.
