Description

Bulletin871C inductive proximitysensors are self-contained, general

purpose, solid-state devices designedto sense the presence of ferrous andnon-ferrous metal objects withouttouching them.

The switch body consists of a plasticface and either a nickel-plated brassbarrel or plastic barrel. The electroniccircuitry is potted for protection againstshock, vibration, and contamination.

These sensors are available in 3, 4, 5,6.5, 8, 12, 18 and 30mm diameters,with smooth or threaded barrels.Connection options include a 2m cable,micro quick-disconnect, and picoquick-disconnect.

Bulletin871C inductive proximitysensors are self-contained, solid statedevices designed for most industrialapplications where it is required tosense the presence of metal objectswithout touching them. These specialextended temperature models are idealfor industrial environments wheretemperatures can reach as high as212F (100C) or as low as 40F(40C). They are available for currentsource (PNP) operation with a normallyopen output.

Each switch has a plastic face and anickel-plated brass housing which meetNEMA 1, 2, 3, 4, 12, 13 and IP67 (IEC529) enclosure standards. Theelectronic circuitry is potted forprotection against shock, vibration, andcontamination.

These sensors are available in 12, 18,and 30mm diameters. Connectionoptions include: 2m (6.5ft) PUR cable ormicro quick-disconnect (4 pin,1 keyway).

ForAllen-Bradley NAMUR stylesensors, the sensor input and outputconforms to NAMUR specifications (DIN19 234) allowing these sensors to beused with any approved NAMUR styleamplifier/ isolator. Allen-BradleysNAMUR style sensors are IntrinsicallySafe when used with an approvedIntrinsically Safe NAMUR style isolator.

The 871C NAMUR style family ofsensors can be used in Class I, II, III;

Description

Bulletin871C inductive proximitysensors are self-contained, solid-statedevices designed to sense thepresence of metal objects withouttouching them. This special versionprovides a 010V sourcing analogoutput proportional to the sensingdistance.

This device is enclosed by a plasticface and a nickel-plated brass housingwhich meets NEMA 1, 2, 3, 4, 12, 13and IP67 (IEC 529) enclosurestandards. The electronic circuitry ispotted for protection against shock,vibration and contamination.

This sensor is available in 12, 18 and30mm diameters with a 2m (6.5ft.) PVCcable connection.
