Wisdom and Works of Mercy Study Group This life is a preparation for our final end, communion with the Most Holy Trinity. The Trinity itself is a communion of Self-Giving Lovers, and we are invited to spend eternity in their loving embrace, to share in their exchange of love. Now is our time to be trained in self-giving love so that we easily enter into the overwhelming joy of our God who is Gift, Love, and Communion. The good of the Most Holy Trinity within us. To find out more about this group study or obtain a copy of the Book, The One Thing is Three by Fr. Michael Gaitley MIV, contact Theresa Piekut 631-848-7612.

The celebration of Pentecost was last Sunday. Can we grasp the significance of this wonderful day?

Jesus stood before His Mother and the apostles. He was really there! His words were:

These words are for each of us.! All the time!

FAITH FORMATION

A recent gathering of all who volunteer in our catechetical ministries was held in our parish center. Desiring to express our appreciation to those who serve as catechists for the children, teens and adults in our parish by offering a time to come together for prayer, sharing, refreshments and just to relax and enjoy the company of those who share our vision proved quite fruitful. We were blessed to have with us the Catechists for our weekly classes and youth groups and those who are a part of our Pre-Cana, Baptismal, RCIA and Consolation ministries who all took time out of their busy schedules to be with us. Joining Father Jeff and me to express our appreciation to those who share their gifts were members of our Pastoral Staff: Deacon Gino Aceto, Carrie Logan and John McNamara. I was so grateful for their presence as we support and encourage one another in our ministries. We began the evening with prayer which enabled all to reflect on

shared the Gospel from Pentecost Sunday inviting us to be conscious of the Holy Spirit working through us, as we are commissioned to lt the

ided reflection during which we were able to express to Jesus our joys and struggles in our ministries, but also providing an opportunity to respond to

l of these Catechetical ministries continually invite new members, and we would be thrilled to speak with anyone who may feel the Spirit is calling you to serve our parish. Our next hospitality will take place on June 18 following our 9:30 Mass. During the months of July and August these monthly opportunities to be with our sisters and brothers in Christ, sharing conversation and refreshments are not held. We will resume in September, but just want to express our gratitude to Stacey and John Buonconsiglio and their family who have been overseeing the hospitality, making sure we have enough volunteers each month and seeing to all of the details that make these gatherings possible. We are so grateful to the following families who have so enthusiastically and lovingly set up, were present to the people and cleaned up at the end: Alessi,

ther example of a way that anyone who wishes to join this group can become engaged in the life of the parish. Plans are currently being made for our Vacation Bible Camp being held the week of July 17. I will be meeting with all of our volunteers on Wednesday, June 21 at 7:00. We are truly blessed that so many of our teens have offered to share their gifts with the children who will be attending. Registration forms for our Bible Camp can be found in our bulletin. Families have received information regarding our upcoming registration for our Faith Formation classes for the 2017-18 year which is being held on Sunday, June 25 following all of our Masses, Monday June 26 and Thursday June 29 from 10 to 8 and also on Friday, June 30 from 10 to 6. Please contact me if these times do not work well for you and I will be happy to arrange another time for us to meet. Registration is not being held on the Tuesday and Wednes-day of that week since I will be on retreat with other Directors of Faith Formation from the Diocese. I will be sure to pray for all of our parishioners when I am on retreat and thank you for your continued prayers for our volunteers and families. The beautiful affirmations I received following our First Eucharist celebrations truly show the support and encouragement that our parishioners provide for each other and are so very much appreciated.
