Our former President of India, Late Hon. Abdul Kalam ji, on his official visit to Aakanksha,

Raipur on 22nd November 2010, had written these golden words for Aakanksha, ‘’Great

Institute of HOPE” . Aakanksha is fortunate and lucky to hear these divine words. To dedicate

a rich tribute to the expectations and blessings of Lt. Kalamji and to commemorate the Silver

Jubilee of Aakanksha Lions Institute of Learning and Empowerment, we are organising

the International Conference under the aegis of HOPE.

The topic of the International Conference -

Developmental Disabilities and Inclusive Strategies for Sustainable Developmental Goals, is an epitome of HOPE.

The 17 Sustainable Developmental Goals (SDG) are universal call to action to end poverty, protect planet and ensure

peace and prosperity to all people and to be achieved by 2030. Some of the SDGs related to disability have been

considered as sub-themes for the International Conference :

Aakanksha develops special educators through D.Ed. in ID, ASD, CP, VI, and B Ed.in ID.

Efficient, Competent and Experienced Rehabilitation Professionals are the pillars

of strength of Aakanksha Institute and with their devoted and unconditional services

have blossomed the lives of special children and their parents. These 25 years

of journey of Aakanksha has developed in us the values of commitment, teamwork

approach and positive attitudes towards special children and their parents. In future

too, with this strong affinity and belief we shall design a roadmap to make sure that

services are spread far and wide to the entire State of Chhattisgarh for special children
