Canon offers an extensive media range, designed for excellent performance with a wide variety of substrates — coated and uncoated; woven and non-woven; vinyl and PVC-free; self-adhesives and prepasted, with a variety of embossed surfaces for light or heavy usage. Digital wall covering produc-tion with Canon printers requires no extra lacquer in most cases, saving you more time and the cost of an extra production step.

Wall coverings are usually sold in rolls and applied onto a wall using wallpaper paste. Some wallpapers have a pre-pasted rear side, which is activated by water. And others have a self-adhesive backing where the liner needs to be removed before applying. Canon wall decorations come at an economic price level while offering superb printability with UVgel (100% CE approved), (eco) solvent and latex inks. Tested for high scratch resistance and high washability.

Canon wall coverings can roughly be divided into two ranges: 1. A non-adhesive range, offering materials with non-woven, textile or paper backings.2. And a self-adhesive range containing films and pre-pasted variants.

The most common non-adhesive wall coverings are the materials with non-woven and paper backings.

• Non-woven wallpaper is wallpaper with a non-woven base composed of cellulose and sometimes textile fibers bonded by a binder. Mostly the non-woven is coated with vinyl, but in some cases, it can be a textile or other materials. The best thing about non-woven wall covering is that they are most easy to apply. These wall coverings can be applied dry to the wall with pre-applied adhesive directly to the wall.

• Paper wallpaper is a traditional paper wallpaper, which usually consists of a paper base wall paper, coated with another layer of paper, vinyl or textile. Wallpaper is usually cheaper and available in many styles and structures. The paste needs to be applied to the wall paper itself which will absorb the adhesive.

The self-adhesive wall coverings act like a sticker; just peel off the backing and apply it to the wall. If you redecorate often, it’s easy to remove and replace.
