This handwriting book was created to help my kindergarteners combine their handwriting and reading practice. As my students

learned to blend letter sounds together they kept asking me What word does this make? We focused their newfound excitement of

reading into a handwriting and drawing lesson.

Each page shows the students how to form an uppercase and lowercase letter with room for practice. A short word beginning with the same letter for the student to read and write follows next. Finally

the student must draw a picture of the word they read.
