One was a pessimist, and the other was an opmist. When sun was shining, the opmist would say, “Wonderful sunshine,” but the pessimist would respond, “Yeah, but I’m afraid it’s going to scorch the crops.” When it rained, the opmist would say, “Fine rain,” but the pessimist would respond, “Yeah, but I’m afraid we’re going to have a flood.” One day the opmist said to the pessimist, “Have you seen my new bird dog? He’s the finest money can buy.” They agreed to go hunng. They went and shot some ducks. The ducks landed in the pond. The opmist ordered his dog to go get the ducks. The dog obediently responded, but instead of swimming in the water, the dog walked on top of the water, retrieved the ducks, and then walked back on top of the water. The opmist now turned to his pessimist friend, hoping that this would have impressed him. The determined pessimist replied, “Hmmm … can’t swim, can he?” Every day others see our atude. Choose to have a posive atude and shine for Jesus this week. Admit that you are a sinner. (Romans 3:23) Believe that Jesus is God’s son. (Acts 4:12) Confess Jesus is your Lord. (Romans 10:9) Perhaps today is the day for your salvaon. If you would like to speak with a pastor or decision counselor, please complete the tear-off at the right and/or come forward at the pastor’s invitaon at the end of today’s worship service.
