Thereweretwofarmers.Onewasapessimist,andtheotherwasanoptimist.Whensunwasshining,theoptimistwouldsay,“Wonderfulsunshine,”butthepessimistwouldrespond,“Yeah,butI’mafraidit’sgoingtoscorchthecrops.”Whenitrained,theoptimistwouldsay,“Finerain,”butthepessimistwouldrespond,“Yeah,butI’mafraidwe’regoingtohaveaflood.”Onedaytheoptimistsaidtothepessimist,“Haveyouseenmynewbirddog?He’sthefinestmoneycanbuy.”Theyagreedtogohunting.Theywentandshotsomeducks.Theduckslandedinthepond.Theoptimistorderedhisdogtogogettheducks.Thedogobedientlyresponded,butinsteadofswimminginthewater,thedogwalkedontopofthewater,retrievedtheducks,andthenwalkedbackontopofthewater.Theoptimistnowturnedtohispessimistfriend,hopingthatthiswouldhaveimpressedhim.Thedeterminedpessimistreplied,“Hmmm…can’tswim,canhe?”Everydayothersseeourattitude.Choosetohaveapositiveattitudeandshine for Jesus this week.
