A warm welcome to the Milton Keynes Next Generation Roadshow 2012 hosted by Milton Keynes Council What is the Roadshow about? Today will demonstrate how superfast fibre optic broadband can boost economic growth in the region and increase profit, turnover and efficiency for your business. You will meet companies that can help you to implement new technology that will make a real difference to your business. What is Milton Keynes Council doing to help implement faster broadband access throughout the borough? We have worked extensively with Openreach (part of the BT Group) to facilitate the installation of fibre optic broadband infrastructure in most parts of the urban area. The Local Broadband Plan and our work with the Government’s Broadband Delivery UK will help ensure fast broadband access across the whole borough, even in places where it is not commercially viable to update broadband infrastructure. What does this mean long term? The roll out of high speed broadband across the borough enables businesses based here to operate more efficiently and increase their profit. It enhances the reputation of Milton Keynes as a forward thinking city and an excellent place to do business. Enjoy the day David Hill Chief Executive, Milton Keynes Council Event hosted by:
